Poncho

It’s Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday. Am I the only one that doesn’t like that song but literally always sing it on Friday? Yes. Ok.
Anyway, today I wanted to share this poncho with y’all. I have literally been obsessed with it since I bought it a few weeks ago. It is the perfect transitional piece, because you can wear it a couple different ways.
It’s great on its own, with a pair of jeans and booties when it’s just a little chilly out. (Make sure you at least put a tank under it because those openings are BIG!!) However, it’s also a great layering piece. If it is on the colder side, you can throw on a long sleeve shirt for added warmth. I also love that the turtleneck part is so big and cozy.
Unfortunately, this poncho literally sold out online just yesterday! (I’ll link similar ones below.) Nevertheless, I would highly suggest checking your local Dillard’s because this is a great poncho. Oh and did I mention it is currently on MAJOR sale?!? (My boots are too!)

Poncho: Sold out (similar here, herehere, & here) | Pants: Old Navy old (similar here & here) | Boots: Vince Camuto (also available in wide calf here) | Bag: Old (similar here & here) | Pom Key Chain: Top Shop | Sunnies: Ray Ban | Earrings: Old (similar here & here) | Lipstick: Smashbox 'Be Legendary' Cream Lipstick in Primrose

What’s everyone’s weekend plans? I’m really excited because this weekend is Gasparilla and I have never been before, so I’m really excited to finally experience this event!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope y’all have a great weekend!

Travel Attire

Happy Friday, loves!
Today I should be writing from North Carolina but unfortunately because of the snowstorm my flight was canceled! I planned on sharing my travel outfit with y’all today but I guess it was my cry in the airport like a crazy person while talking to my mom, dad, and boyfriend as people stared at me outfit. ;)
It can be hard going from somewhat warmer temps in Florida to the frigid ones currently in North Carolina, which is why layers are key. This sweater is super lightweight and thin which is great because I get hot very easily. Another key to my travel outfits in the colder months is a scarf. They come in handy for a few reasons when traveling. First, they are an easy layer to remove if you get hot while sitting in the airport or on the plane. Blanket scarves are a huge trend right now so on the flip side, they can be used as just that if you get cold or want to catch some Z’s on the plane. Last, you might be able to get away with a smaller jacket because you have the added warmth from the scarf when you reach your destination.
Throw on a pair of jeans, easy to get on and off boots (unless you have TSA pre-check then you can wear whatever shoes your heart desires) and a decent size bag to stash all your necessities and you’re good to go.

Sweater: H&M old (almost identical here) | Jeans: Old Navy (almost identical with more size options here and with a hint of metallic here) | Scarf: Old Navy old (similar here and here) | Boots: DSW | Bag: Nordstrom (The one I bought is sold out, but I think the one I linked is the EXACT same colors) | Sunnies: Old (similar here) | Lipstick: Smashbox 'Be Legendary' Creme Lipstick in Primrose | Lipgloss: Smashbox 'Be Legendary' Lip Gloss in Disco Rose ( I got both in this set which I highly recommend)

I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend and thanks for stopping by!

P.S. This should have been up this morning, but my iPhoto kept crashing so I've been spending a decent part of today trying to fix that.

Today I'm linking up with Walking in Memphis in High HeelsThe Fashion Canvas, and Sabby Style for the Trend Spin Linkup!

Happy 2016

Happy 2016 lovelies!!!
I am so sorry I did not post at all the first week of 2016. If you follow me on Instagram you know when I went out of town, I forgot my suitcase and therefore was not able to shoot outfits. I have also been sick since NYE that has contributed to my lack of posting as well.
Anyway enough of my excuses let’s get to today’s post. Most people’s first post of the year is their resolutions or goals. Well I’ve never been one for resolutions so I’m going to post my 101 in 1,001 list. If you’ve never heard of this, I believe Mackenzie Horan of Design Darling started this list. You make a list of 101 things you would like to complete in 1,001 days. I just love this idea because it gives you plenty of things to strive towards and they can be little or big. I’m also posting it here so y’all can keep me accountable and I’ll do an update from time to time, on how I’m doing. So here, it is my list of 101 things that I have 1,001 days to complete.
