Summer Reading List

Happy Tuesday friends!
Today I wanted to share with y’all my Summer Reading list. It’s kind of funny because in school I always DREADED getting the summer reading list. And if I’m being honest, I usually would read the cliff notes version and just wing the assignments at the beginning of the semester. (Star student over here!! JK)
I have always enjoyed reading. (Even when I refused to read in school) I just like reading what I want to read and not what I’m forced to read. That being said, since joining a book club last fall, I have really gotten back into reading pretty regularly. I can usually finish a book pretty quickly so I thought why not make a list of books I want to read this summer? If you are in need of some summer beach reads the next 10 are what I will be reading by the water during these hot sunny months. (I’ve also added a couple at the end that I read last summer!)
1.    When Life gives you Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger
I love The Devil wears Prada (movie & book) and while I swear there was already a sequel (Revenge wears Prada anyone?) this is the sequel to The Devil wears Prada. This is definitely at the top of my list!
2.    Winter in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand
Elin Hilderbrand is the QUEEN of beach reads!! She has so many good ones that seem perfect for a long day basking in the sun. I read a couple of her books last year so I thought I would add this on to the list.
3.    Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus
I found this one on Emily’s blog (Life with Emily) and she gave it a good review. It sounds very PLL. I was obsessed with that series so sign me up for anything remotely similar. (Except for the new spinoff. I cannot do another 8 years of my life!!)
4.    The Perfect Liar by Thomas Christopher Greene
Another one I found on Life with Emily. (She reads SO much and does reviews every month! #goals)
This one sounds super suspenseful, which I always love.
5.    Where the Crawdad Sings by Delia Owens
I found this one on Reese Witherspoons book club list. A few of my friends also recently read it for a book club they are in and gave it good reviews. It’s based in North Carolina (which is where I’m from) and again has some mystery to it.
6.    All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehfoth
Like I said above I am always a sucker for anything mysterious and reminiscent of PLL. This one seems like it has both. I can’t wait to read this one. (Also found this on Life with Emily.)
7.    The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
I saw this one last fall on a ton of people’s blogs & IG. I think we actually almost read it in my book club. This one seems very lighthearted and fun which can be needed to break up all these murders, mystery & deceit in the other books.
8.    The Kissing Quotient by Helen Hoang
This is another book I saw on so many blogs and instagram posts that seems like a fun read. I feel like fun & cheerful books are what people gravitate to in the summer. And romance which this one and # 7 both have.
9.    The Party by Robyn Harding
This one involves a sweet 16 party and things going terribly wrong! I have had this on my list for a while! I actually found it while browsing the Target book section. (This is how I kicked off my summer reading list and I can already check it off the list. J)
10.                  It Happens in the Hamptons by Holly Peterson
Any book set in the Hamptons has summer beach read written all over it! I stumbled upon this book because it was part of a buy 2 get 1 free deal but I must say that I can’t wait to read it!

So there’s my summer 2019 reading list. I’m hoping I can move through these and add a few more in there before Labor Day. What kind of books do you like? What is currently on your must read list? I’d love to hear about them so I can add some to my list. I want to read more and start doing reviews. I’m hoping to share a book review soon on the first 5 books I read for book club. (Maybe in the next couple weeks.)
Thank you so much for stopping by. Let me know if you decide to read any of these based on my recommendation. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

P.S. Here are a few more books that are great summer beach reads.
1.  The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand
2. The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand (This was one of my favorites!)
3. Truly, Madly, Guilty by Liane Moriarty
4. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (Loved the book and LOVE the show!)

Sephora Spring Sale

Today is the day!! If you have been waiting for the Sephora Spring sale like I have then today is your lucky day!! (But only if you are Rouge) If you're not Rouge don't worry. your day is coming. Let me start by breaking down the discount and dates. After that I will share products in my cart or that I have bought recently that I think are worth a purchase!
The Sephora sale starts today for Rouge members. (If you spend $1000+ per year.) The discount for Rouge members is 20% off and you can shop now-May 6th.
The next tier is VIB. (If you spend $350+ per year.) The discount for VIB is 15% and you can shop May 2nd-May 6th. (I'm VIB. I spend a decent amount at Sephora, but not $1000. J would actually kill me!)
The last tier is Beauty Insider. (This is what you start at when you sign up.) The discount for Beauty Insiders is 10% and you can shop May 2nd-May 6th.
No matter what level you are any discount at Sephora is a good one!
Now let's talk about products. I've put together some things I want to try and some things I've purchased recently. During these sales I like to try new things and buy pricier items that I normally wouldn't.

I have been DYING to try this oil. Madi over at Sweet Tea with Madi swears by this stuff! I am so excited to try. I will definitely let y'all know how I like it!
Just bought this. The colors are gorgeous!
Have this in the color Girl Boss and I love it!
I just got this sunscreen and I love it! It doesn't leave my feeling greasy and it doesn't burn/sting my skin.
I have heard SOOOOO many good things about this mask. It's a little expensive, but thinking about pulling the trigger with the discount.
I really like this moisturizer. It's a gel moisturizer and leaves your skin feeling super hydrating.
This stuff is awesome! I have gotten so many compliments on my brows since I started using this.
I LOVE this shampoo & conditioner. Also, Amika products smell AMAZING!! I would literally use this product even if it was terrible because it smells that good. lol
If you haven't heard of The Ordinary this brand is about to be your new favorite. I was first introduced to them last summer in NYC. They are amazing skincare products at even better prices. I think I might do an entire post on the brand.
This leaves your lips so soft. I also use it as a gloss sometimes during the day. (Learned that trick from the Something Navy gals on IG.)
I saw this and was intrigued by the applicator. I  love other Too Faced lip product so I will definitely be picking one of these up during the sale.
I feel like everyone swears by this especially when flying. I also think the company name is super cute. Thinking about trying it out during the sale.
Have this in the shade American Woman and I wear it NON-STOP!
This is such a universally flattering shade. And the packaging on this is so pretty!
If you are new around here I am obsessed with vitamin C skincare! (And you should be too if you aren't already.) I love this face cream. It leaves your skin feeling so soft, hydrated and plump! I can't recommend it enough.

I hope y'all get tons and tons of new beauty products during this sale. And if you need to justify it to anyone just tell them this stuff NEVER goes on sale so you gotta stock up while you can.

Pink & White Spring Time

Spring is officially in full swing in most places. This past weekend I put together what I'm thinking will probably be my last look with a jacket for a while. (Other than a jean jacket because those don't count.)
I have been obsessed with this jacket since I got it a few weeks ago. I have been loving it with black denim, but wanted to style it with something different. I was going to pair it with a white dress but it was a little on the cooler side last weekend. Since I thought I would need jeans I thought why not do a white on white look with this jacket on top? I was immediately in love! I hope there are a few more cool days so I can repeat this outfit. If not I'll just wear the jeans and tank to dinner one night and bring the jacket since FL restaurants are always FREEZING! haha
Let's also take a minute to talk about this tank. I am always searching for basic tanks and this one is great! I currently have it in black and white, (shocker I know!) but I think I need more colors. Maybe smokey blue or pacific coral? Maybe both? It's just such a great piece to have in your closet.

Top: Express | Jacket: Park Side Harbor |Jeans: Old Navy | Shoes: Target | Sunnies: Lulu's | Lipstick: NARS Powermatte Pigment in American Woman |Watch Band: Amazon
What are everyone's plans this weekend? I am doing something fun for the wedding. Follow my on instagram to see what.
Thank y'all so much for stopping by. It really means so much!

Easter Jumpsuit

Happy Thursday!
Today I’m back with one more Easter outfit. (That you should still be able to get in time if you order soon!)
If you’re new around here let me tell you about my obsession with blue & white. I love anything blue & white anything and if it’s blue & white stripes that’s even better! This jumpsuit immediately stole my heart. It’s such a cute piece for springtime. It’s also really versatile which is always a plus in my book. The material is so ideal for this time of year. It’s not true linen but it does look and feel like linen. (Plus side… it doesn’t wrinkle like linen.)
If blue & white isn’t your thing it comes in a few other colors. I just might have to get another one!

Jumpsuit: Amazon | Purse: Amazon | Shoes: Target sold out (identical option here) | Watch Band: Amazon | Sunnies: Old (similar here) | Lipstick: NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman
Now that we’ve talked about Easter outfits so much what are your plans? We are going to J’s parents for a huge family day of swimming and dinner! I’m excited to make these cute cupcakes I found for dessert. (I’ll share them over on instagram.)

I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by.

P.S. Sizing info: I'm wearing a medium. It's a little tight in the booty (I have a pretty big butt) but the large was wayyyyy too big in the top.

Easter Dress

Can y’all believe Easter is this Sunday? Today I’m sharing a great dress option for Easter Sunday! If you follow me on Instagram you have probably noticed I’ve been sharing a lot of Amazon fashion lately. Well hope you’re not sick of it because today is another option from Amazon. (That means you can still order it and get it in time for Easter Sunday.)
I think this dress is so cute!! It’s such a simple silhouette and you can dress it up or down. I paired it with my little block heels here, but it would also look good with wedges or sandals. You could also throw on a jean jacket if it’s still a little cool where you live. The styling possibilities are endless.
It comes in 12 colors (lots of great options) and rings in just under $25. I mean at that price you can afford to buy 2!

Dress: Amazon (other options hereherehere, here & here) | Shoes: Steve Madden | Purse: Amazon | Sunnies: Target | Earrings: Target | Lipstick: NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman
How do you feel about Amazon fashion? I have been finding so many good things lately. It’s all about reading the reviews. (And you have to be willing to return.)
I actually have 2 Amazon hauls I need to film that will be up on instagram over the next 2 weeks. If you don’t already follow me there you definitely should.  (One will be regular clothing and the other will be workout wear.)
I hope you have a great week! Check back on Thursday for another great Easter option… also from Amazon.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it!!

Palm Jumpsuit

Hey y’all!
Today I have a fun jumpsuit to share with you. If you’re new around here you will quickly realize that rompers & jumpsuits are kind of my thing. I really can’t get enough of them, especially in the spring/summer months. I saw this one on a local boutiques instagram a few weeks ago and just had to have it. Unfortunately it sold out ASAP. However a few weeks later they ended up getting a restock and I hurried in to scoop one up. I was a little hesitant because of the tie, but after trying it on it is so cute! (If you look at the photo online they have it tied higher over your bust.)
This is going to be a piece I wear NON STOP this summer for a few reasons. First of all let’s talk about the print. As most of you know I am obsessed with palm/banana leaf print. I’ll buy anything if it has palm print on it. The second reason I love this so much is because it’s so lightweight. Lightweight pieces are a MUST in the Florida heat. The last thing is the slits in the pants. This just adds to the lightweight factor. I seriously cannot say how much I love this jumpsuit.
(If the weather is still cool where you live it would also look really cute with a jean jacket!)

Jumpsuit: Fig & Willow | Purse: Amazon | Shoes: Target (identical option here) | Sunnies: Target | Lipstick: NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman (My new favorite lipstick!!) | Watchband: Amazon
Is everyone ready for the weekend? I definitely am! I’m doing a charity walk on Saturday for the Humane Society. (Ramsey gets to join too.) Then I need to clean my house and film so try on hauls for y’all! (And hopefully a little beach time.) What are you up to this weekend? Thanks for stopping by!

I really appreciate it!
