Bodycon

I want to start this post by saying I am not typically a bodycon dress kind of gal! I never even entertain the idea, no matter how cute they look. I know I will hate it once I put it on. I have wide hips and they are definitely my LEAST favorite body part. (Not complaining just saying.) So if anything accentuates this, its bodycon dresses.  Anyway, this one is too good. I saw it on the rack and thought “this might actually be slimming…I’ll give it a try.” And let me tell you, I am so glad I did. First of all, the ruching is amazing. It’s the only reason I was able to buy this dress. It hides everything and doesn’t make it super tight looking. I also love how soft the material is. It’s definitely a throw on and go, piece. It makes you look pulled together but, is so comfy. Lastly it comes in a ton of colors, which is always a plus in my book. As this means you can buy multiples.
I have been dressing it down for the last few weeks of summer, but stay tuned. In a few weeks, I will show you how to transition it into fall and dress it up a bit.

(Blue) Candy Stripe

Hi lovelies!
Can you believe this weekend is Labor Day weekend?! This year has really flown by. I remember when I was younger, and hearing my parents say that all the time, and I would be thinking, “Ummm you’re crazy! This school year has dragged on forever!” Haha
Anyway Labor Day typically marks the unofficial end of summer.
Today I wanted to share a really cute romper for your last summer BBQ or beach trip you may have this weekend. (Unfortunately, this one sold out last week while it was on a super sale.  However, I will link some similar options for you.)
If you’ve followed me for a while, you should know I LOVE blue and white. I have to stop myself quite often from buying things that are blue and white; especially in the summer months. Something about the combination just screams summer to me. When I saw this romper a few months ago, I knew I HAD to have it. I love the low neckline, and the stripes and bow keep it classy.  I have definitely worn this little guy more than a few times and it might even make an appearance this weekend.
I have linked some of my favorite blue and white pieces below in case you’re looking to hold onto summer a little longer.

Romper: Dillard's sold out (similar here & here also love thisthis, and this) | Shoes: Target | Sunglasses: Nordstrom | Choker: Baublebar | Lipstick: Mac Amplified Lipstick in Blankety with Mac Lipglass in Snob layered on top
Other blue and white pieces I love herehere (along with almost all other blue and white JCrew pieces), herehereherehere (how cute are those sandals?!), here and I have to stop myself or I could be here all night linking things for y'all!

What are your plans for Labor Day Weekend? Are you ready for fall or do you want summer to stick around a little longer?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Shake your Pom Poms

Has this seemed like the longest week to anyone else? I swear Monday and Tuesday were actually a whole week!
Today’s post would have been more appropriate on Tuesday for #shoesdaytuesday but oh well!
I mean how freaking cute are these?! The pom poms… I die. I love the fashion sneaker trend lately, and these are no exception. When I saw they were on MAJOR sale it was a no brainer. They are a little out there but, personally I think they are perfect. (I wish you could have seen J’s face when I pulled them out of the box! Hah #priceless) It all goes back to wearing what you love. If you think having big furry pom poms on your sneakers is fashionable, and fun go for it. And if your best friend, boyfriend, mom, or a stranger on the street, thinks you’re a little crazy that’s ok. Fashion to me is all about wearing what you love, and what makes you feel good.
With Labor Day just a little over a week away; I want to say this is a great summer look that can easily be transitioned to fall by just swapping your shorts for jeans.  I personally would do black denim with a white tank, and viola perfect fall outfit.

Speaking of Labor Day do y’all have any fun plans? I am so looking forward to college football and lots of food.  I’d love to hear what you have planned and what you think about these shoes in the comments below.

Walk (Through) This Way

Hi friends!
Today I want to share one of my FAVORITE summer trends… walk through rompers! The great news is; I see this carrying into the fall and winter too!
The funny thing is; I’m not 100% sure what you actually call these things. I call them walk through rompers but, I have heard a few other names as well.
Basically it’s a romper with a maxi skirt attached to the back. Regardless of what you call it; I think they are GREAT! I got this a while ago and have been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it. This one is a little on the dressy side. Since its super long and I’m super short, I have to wear it with heels. For me there really is no way to dress these guys down. Anyway, a few weeks ago we had an engagement party and I thought that was the perfect occasion to break this baby out! This one is super summery with the floral print and cut out back. However, like I said I can see this trend carrying forward. Since this one is no longer available, I will link some summer ones that are on sale, and some that I think will be perfect for fall!
What do y’all think of this trend? I would love to hear your thoughts. I have heard so many mixed reviews among my friends.

Summer Tie Dye

In keeping my promise last week about not forgetting its still summer, I’ve got another easy breezy summer look for you today. My goal is to do summer outfits until at least Labor Day. I’ve got some cute ones planned for the next couple of weeks so; stay tuned especially if you love rompers.
Today’s look may not seem warm weather appropriate because of the long sleeves, but I promise it is.
It’s pretty long so I always front tuck it. I am not a fan of the whole is she or isn’t she wearing shorts thing. Haha
The fabric is super lightweight and just flows; and I love the bell sleeves. The print is what really gets me though. I just think the pink and white is so summery.
I bought this shirt a while back but I have great news…it’s fully in stock and on MAJOR sale. #yourwelcome. I highly suggest it for the remainder of summer and next Spring.

Top: Dillard's | Shorts: Nordstrom Rack (similar herehere, & here) | Purse: Michael Kors (similar here) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Sandals: Target | Lipstick: Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Twig | Necklace: Gift (similar here) | Watch: Apple Watch series 1 in gold with cocoa band 42MM face

Thursday I think I’ll put together a post of things you should buy to get you through the end of summer. Everything will be on super sale, inexpensive, or something you can easily transition to fall.  Let me know if there’s any specific brands or things you would like to see in that post and I will do my best to incorporate them.
I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday, and thanks for stopping by!
