Baby You're a Firework

Happy Hump Day!

This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but I was EXHAUSTED from my vacation. To make things even crazier in my life I am off to North Carolina on Friday to spend the holiday weekend with my family. (Side note: I haven’t seen my whole family together since Christmas 2014. To say I’m excited is an understatement.)
Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays and today I wanted to share this perfect outfit for any back yard BBQ’s and firework shows you might have planned. I am absolutely obsessed with every detail of this top. From the pretty embroidery, fun tassels and oversized sleeves it has so much going on. Not to mention the embroidery is basically star shape. Which is why I immediately thought Fourth of July when I saw it. I paired mine with white denim shorts but it would also look great with regular denim or navy blue shorts. The best part about this top is the price point. I have seen so many like this retailing upwards of $200 so at under $90 this one is a TOTAL steal!!

Top: Dillard's | Shorts: Target old (similar here) | Sandals: Forever 21 no longer available in this color (similar here) | Lipstick: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina

I hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend. I would love to hear what you’re doing or any traditions you may have. Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Friday: What's in my beach bag

Happy Friday friends!
I hope y’all had a great week!
I am going to keep my post short today since I am on vacation.
For today’s Summer Friday post I decided to share with y’all what’s in my beach bag.

1. Beach Bag
(This is the one I have in Jamaica with me!)
2. Lip Balm
(Make sure it has sunscreen because nothing is worse than sunburned lips.)
3. Round Beach Towel
4. Portable Speaker
5. Sea Salt Spray
6. Sunglasses
7. Cute Drink Cup
8.  Regular Sunscreen
(Always need a great pair of sunnies. Bonus if they are polarized!)
9. Tarte Sunscreen
(I'm trying this out currently. It's pricey but just use on your face and neck.)
10. Fun Float
(Good for when you want to cool off.)
*I also typically bring a few magazines or a book.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Can you believe next weekend is Fourth of July weekend?? I know I can’t.

Little White Romper

Y’all if there’s anything I love more than a LWD it’s a LWR (little white romper). Rompers are probably one of my favorite things to wear and I love white in the summer so together they are absolutely perfect. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while and when it finally went on sale, I knew I had to get it. How gorgeous is this lace? And I love the long, unlined sleeves. It’s great for date night, GNO, or for those brides to be and any bachelorette parties or showers they might have coming up. Plus, this romper is so easy to get on and off. Even though I LOVE rompers, there tends to be an oversight on how to get in and out of them. I can’t tell you the number of rompers that I own that are literally the HARDEST thing to put on or take off. But I can attest I definitely do not have that problem with this one.

Romper: Dillard's | Shoes: Last Season (this season here) | Earrings: H&M sold out online (similar here and here also love these) | Necklace: Gift (similar here) | Lip Color: Lip Liner in Pinky, Lipstick in Invite Intrigue, with this in Dream House layer on top

Thanks for stopping by! I hope y'all have a great Friday Eve! Almost the weekend. You got this!

What to Pack: Tropical Getaway

Hey loves!
Tomorrow I am off to Jamaica and thought I would share with y’all what I pack for a tropical getaway!
I’ve broken it down into categories and at the end, I figure out what I will pack in my carry on. I hope this helps for any upcoming trips you may have.
If you have any questions, leave them in the comments section below and I will do my best to get back to you ASAP! Not sure, how the wifi will work at my resort yet.

First up: Maxi dresses. I love maxi dresses for so many reasons. I think they are easy to throw on and feel put together. You can dress them up or down, wear flats or wedges, and if you’re sunburned or just going to chow down on some great local food, flowy options are FABULOUS!!

Second: Cover-ups. There are so many great options out there. I did a whole post here on some of my favorites but here are a few more.

Third: Rompers. These are great because again, they are great to throw on and go, plus you don’t have to worry about all the things you do with a short dress. (Breezy nights and short dresses do NOT go well together girlfriend!)

Fourth: Swim Suits. (Obvi!) You really can’t go on a tropical or beach vacation without these. Again, I have a whole post on them already but here are a few more options.

Fifth: Miscellaneous. Here I have put some other things that could be helpful. I’m not a big shorts girl but do like to bring one or 2 outfits that include shorts. I also think it’s important to bring a couple workout clothing items. I know on this trip we will be hiking some waterfalls and it will be much easier to do that in Nike shorts and a tank than a dress or romper.

What’s in my carry-on: I like to be prepared so I pack a great deal of things in my carry-on. The main thing I put in here is anything valuable such as camera, laptop, jewelry, expensive sunglass, etc. Moreover, you don’t want your camera or laptop being thrown around in your big suitcase. I also pack all my makeup in my carry-on for that reason. A change of clothes and a swimsuit is another great thing to bring. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen, but if they do loose your luggage at least you will have 1 backup outfit. I pack the swim suit because sometimes it can take a while for them to get your luggage to your room and this way you can check in and head straight to the swim up bar! Lastly, I don’t really put this in my carry-on exactly but if you are traveling with a hat, you should always wear it/carry it with you so it isn’t squished in your suitcase.
And the biggest key when going on a tropical getaway is using your beach/pool bag as your carry-on.

I think I have covered almost everything. If you want to look at more swim suits, cover-ups, beach bags, or sandals just click the one you want and it will take you to the post. And if you want to see updates of my Jamaica trip in real time follow me on instagram @thefashionablylateblonde

Summer Friday: Sandals

So today, we have Summer Friday on Saturday because sometimes FaceTiming with your BFF for 3 hours wins over blogging. #Priorities
Today’s Summer Friday is all about sandals. Being raised in Florida I would consider myself an EXPERT in this category. Today I focused on flat sandals. I am including everything from slip on flip-flops; perfect for the beach, to more elegant sandals, that you can wear for date night or girls not out. These can really be your best friend if heels aren’t your thing.
Hope you enjoy.

9. Target

I hope y’all are having a great Saturday. Thanks for stopping by and spending a little part of your day with me. It truly means so much.
