Olive Jumpsuits

Finally! A new outfit post!
I promise this outfit was worth the wait. I ordered this jumpsuit a few weeks ago and just got around to wearing it. (The weather has been so up and down around here lately!)
I honestly bought it because I didn’t want to pay for shipping. Because ya know, buying a $50 romper is waayyyyy better than spending $5 on shipping. (Raise your hand if you do this?)
Anyway, I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this guy because it’s so cute. The color is perfect and the length is great with some cute heels or wedges. (I could probably wear flats but I think jumpsuits & flats make me look shorter than I am.) Also, depending on your office setting, it’s a great workwear piece!
I styled it here with a layered necklace, but I also think it would look really cute with a silk scarf tied at the neck. If that’s not really your style you could wear it in your hair. I think this one would look great!
The best news is if green isn’t your color this jumpsuit also comes in black! It’s currently available with limited sizing in green and all sizes in black! Hurry and grab one before they are gone!

This week has been really busy so I’m not sure I’ll have another outfit post for y’all on Thursday. However, I will have another 5 on Friday post this week! I haven’t decided the exact theme yet, but it will be something along the lines of my 5 favorite recent purchases. I’ll see y’all on Friday!

Make-up Monday: How my Skincare Routine Changed with Lash Extensions

Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was nice and relaxing with lots of time spent outside, since it was so beautiful!
Today I have a Makeup Monday post for y’all; and I’m sharing how my skincare has changed since getting lash extensions.
I’m sure you’re thinking, what does your skincare routine have to do with lash extensions? Well, don’t worry, that’s what I’m here to tell you.
The biggest thing with lash extensions is retention. You want to keep them as full as you can in between fills for a few reasons. 1. You obviously want them as full as possible because that’s when they look the best. 2. The more lashes you retain the less time your lash artist will have to spend during fills. 3. If you loose too many some places may charge you more.
Because you want to retain as many of your lashes as possible you might have to swap or be super careful with a few things in your skincare routine.
Let’s go through my new skincare routine and I’ll tell you items I no longer use and a little more about why.
A.M. Routine
My morning routine is pretty much the same. I wash my face, use my under eye cream and then face serum. The biggest change was how I wash my face. Because I shower in the morning that is where I usually wash my face. I used to just lather up and then put my face in the water to rinse off the soap. With lashes you want to avoid getting any cleanser on your lashes. I still use Tula, but instead of just putting my face under the stream of water I carefully rinse my cheeks, nose and forehead. I’m sure a little cleanser drips down, but I try to keep it as minimal as possible. I still use my eye cream and serum I shared in this post.
P.M. Routine
This is where things have changed the most. I still start with my cleansing balm, but since this turns to straight oil I am very careful to not go below my brow bone or above my cheekbone. Rayanna told me the skin around your eye is so thin product will quickly migrate all over the area. So be very careful what you put inside the oracle bone. Once I have removed all my makeup I very carefully rinse it off. Again, you don’t want this to drip down to your lashes. After that I use my Philosophy cleanser and again, very cautiously rinse. After that I have added a new step. Cleansing my lashes. It is SO SO SO important to cleanse your lashes once a day. This helps get all the dirt, grim and pollution off your lashes and your lash line. This helps with retention and keeps your eyes from getting irritated. Rayanna supplied me with lash cleanser on my first visit and I’m still using the same bottle. I use one pump and swirl it around with a brush then “paint” it on my lashes. I get my lash line really good and also use this to remove any eye makeup and under eye concealer. After I’ve done that I rinse thoroughly with cold water. It’s nice and refreshing and is good for your lashes. Extreme heat can also loosen adhesive and cause lash loss.
After that it’s time for all my creams and serums. I used to use this under eye cream from Kiehl’s however, it’s derived from avocado oil so I had to stop. (If you don't have lash extensions I would highly recommend it!) I have since started using this eye cream from Tula and use it mostly on my crow’s feet. (It's AMAZING!) After that I use my Kiehl’s Vitamin C serum, and this collagen serum. Then finally my TulaDay & Night Cream. I’m very careful to make sure I don’t use any of these below my brow bone or above my cheekbone. (You really don’t want or need to anyway.) After I finish my nighttime routine I brush out my lashes and I’m ready for bed.

Cleansing Balm: Clinique | Cleanser: Purity Cleansing Gel | Eye Cream: Tula | Vitamin C Serum: Kiehl's | Collagen Serum: Physicians Formula | Moisturizer: Tula | Lash Cleanser: Bella Lash Deep Cleanser
I want to share a couple other things you can’t and can use with lash extensions. You basically can’t use ANY makeup removers. Even the oil free ones like Micelleular water. You can however use a makeup wipe on your lids and under eye if you are wearing heavy makeup. I usually try not to do this, but I’ve had my makeup done twice for events and had to use these to get all the eyeshadow and liner off.  I avoid getting right on my lash line if possible.
So there you have it. I bet you didn’t even think about your skincare routine changing if you get lash extensions. I know I sure didn’t. Rayanna is an amazing lash artist and prepared me for all of this before I even got my lashes put on. Some of these things I was expecting from following her on instagram, but some were a total shock. If you don’t follow her on instagram you definitely should because she is a WEALTH of knowledge in this industry. I’ll leave her handle right here for y’all.
If you have any other questions about lash extensions or a certain product feel free to email me, DM me, or drop a comment below.

I hope y’all have a great week and check back tomorrow for a new outfit post. (Finally!)

Wedding Wednesday: How I asked my Bridesmaids

Happy Wednesday friends!
I finally have a new wedding Wednesday for you. (It’s been so long since the last one.)
I’ve been meaning to get this one up for a while and have just been so busy. It is no joke when you have a full time job, blog on the side and try to plan a wedding. If I don’t master time management this year I don’t think I ever will.
Anyway, today I’m sharing with y’all how I asked my bridesmaids to be my bridesmaids! (And Man of Honor)
This was one of the first things I did as far as wedding planning. I’ve known who I would ask for years now! I knew when I asked I wanted to make a little box for them since they will be doing so much for me over the next year.
I started looking on Etsy for “bridesmaid boxes” but couldn’t find anything I loved. After searching for a while I decided to make my own box. I started with drinkware. I feel like drinkware is pretty standard and with good reason. A photographer told my friend once cups are a great gift so you have cute cups in your photos instead of a giant McDonald’s cup. (No offense McDonald’s.)
Next I knew I wanted a piece of jewelry. Most of my friends already have bar necklaces with their initial and I wasn’t feeling earrings so I decided on a bracelet. As soon as I saw the knotted bracelet I knew it would be perfect. They also came on cute cards that said, “I can’t tie the knot without you.” (I didn’t think my man of honor would want a bracelet so I opted for cufflinks instead. It can also be nice to differentiate your maid of honor.)
The last part was the champagne since we were obviously celebrating. I got each of them a split of champagne as a little extra touch. (If you are shipping your boxes I would recommend cans of champagne of rosé. I thought I was going to have to ship my Man of Honor’s so I got a can of rosé. I’ve had friends get broken boxes many times in the past.)
After I had all the gifts picked out I found cute cards on etsy and ordered different ones for each person. I tried to pick ones that fit their personality/our friendship.
Finally, let’s talk about the actual box!  These can actually be really pricey. I eventually found photo boxes at Michael’s and just ordered each persons name in gold vinyl to put on the front. Then to make the inside extra cute, I got white and pink paper shreds to place on the bottom. Viola! Cute little bridesmaid box for all my friends.
I was lucky enough to hand deliver each one and all my friends were thrilled and loved all the things! I can’t wait for them to stand next to me on my big day and all the fun things we get to do leading up to it.

Here’s all the links for everything I used.
(They made me a custom card! They were so sweet & helpful.)
(This shop has a TON of cards! And they are all so cute!)
(This shop has so many different options!)
The shop I bought my vinyl names from is no longer on Easy. I've bought from this one before though and they were great!
(Total Wine has a lot of different options. Lots of can options too!)
How did you ask your bridesmaids? I’d love to hear in the comments below.

I Wear my Sunglasses at Night

But really I wear my sunglasses during the day. haha
I've been called out more than a few times for ALWAYS wearing sunglasses by friends & followers alike. Since today I've rounded up my favorite sunglasses I will let you in on my little secret as to why I'm always wearing sunglasses.
As a blogger I'm always taking photos. If you've ever taken a dozen or more photos at a time you know that out of all those photos there's only a handful of good ones. Add in your eyes being closed or being mid blink and your pool of photos gets even smaller. However, if you wear sunglasses though no one has any idea if your eyes as closed in that photo! Boom! You're photo options just went up. haha
So there you have it... the answer to why I'm always wearing sunglasses!
Anyway, if you're in need of some new sunnies I've rounded up a bunch at all different price points!
Happy shopping!
(Have these in white and I love them. If you want the real version you can shop them here)
(LOVE these! And only $16)
(Might have to pick these up on my next Target run)
(these are such a classic)
