Dressed Up Tie Dye

Y'all definitely know tie dye is a HUGE trend right now!
I personally can't get enough. By the time this quarantine is over that might just be what my entire wardrobe consists of.
Kidding... kind of.
I saw this sweatshirt all over IG and thought it was so cute. I finally decided I had to have it.
Naturally, as soon as I went to link this for y'all, I saw it's sold out!! (You still might be able to find it in stores.) There are some other color options that I was able to link for you. And they are currently 20% off. It's a bit of an oversize fit so I would definitely get your regular size. (I'm wearing a medium.)
I tried to dress it up a bit with jeans and heels.
Let's actually take a minute to talk about these heels.
I just got them from Lulu's and LOVE them. The quilting makes them look really high end, but they are under $40!!
They also have a square toe, which is a trend I have been seeing quite a bit.
The heel is a great height too. You an definitely wear them and walk around for a while without being uncomfortable. I plan on wearing these all summer long!  They are such a great summer shoe.

Top: Target | Jeans: Old Navy (Also just bought this high waisted option. Another great option here.) | Shoes: Lulu's currently sold out (similar flat version here I also really like these) | Sunnies: Amazon | Lipstick: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Rosewood with MAC Cosmetics Lipglass in Snob on top

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. Anyone else? It's supposed to be nice this weekend so hoping to get some bike rides, runs and hammock time in. What are your plans?

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Can y'all believe Mother's Day is 2 weeks from Sunday?
In some ways this year is flying by and in other ways it is dragging on.
Today I have rounded up some great gift ideas for your Mom.
Hopefully things will be a little more back to normal by then and you will be able to celebrate with your Mom in person. (Not via ZOOM)
I decided to do this gift guide a little differently. I picked a few different "categories" and rounded up a couple ideas for each one. I did try to keep it budget friendly as I know some people are still out of work. I'm sure all any Mom wants this year is to be able to hug their child in person, but it's always great to spoil her on Mother's Day!
This one is right up my Mom's ally. Haha She would love all these pieces.
Such a great scent.
I have these and they are so fluffy and cozy.
I keep debating buying this for myself.
These are amazing PJ's at an even better price. They come in a ton of color and prints and different variations. (Pants and short sleeve top, long pants and long top, etc.)

I think this is the one I got my mom for Christmas. She loves it.
This is a little pricey. Great to go in on with siblings or your dad.
So cute!
I love this idea. I'm not a mom, but does someone want to get this for me? hah

This is a great thing your mom might not know about. Even if she is a beauty guru.
I don't fully know what these do, but they are the hottest thing in beauty right now. Help your mom get ahead of the curve with this one.
This is an at home micro-needling kit. Great way to try this out or keep up if she already goes to the spa for this.
This is a good pamper yourself gift. I love this brand.
I always like picking out new colors for my mom. This is Blankety and it's one of her faves.
(Bonus points if you offer to give her a manicure with her new kit.)

I think these are so fun!
Always need protection when you are out in the sun. I love the big bow on this.
I'm clearly very big on sun protection. This is a great way for your mom to try a bunch of different sunscreens and pick the one she likes best.
Being outside it's important to stay hydrated. I love this brand and they are currently on MAJOR sale.
I thought this pot was so cute!

These are random items I thought were great and didn't fit into a category.
This is a great piece for a new mom.
I saw this while browsing today and thought it was amazing. I know my mom and my mother-in-law would both LOVE this!
I absolutely LOVE this as a gift. My friend did it a few years ago and I thought it was so cool.
This brand is so cool. They have a bunch of different necklaces, bracelets, and rings that all come on cards with these AMAZING stories. I actually got this one for my mom on my wedding day. It's two pieces so I have one and she has one!
I stole this one from my friend. You basically sign up for a floral arranging class (via zoom or whatever) and they will send the flowers to you the day before. This is a fun thing to do with your mom.
I also thought a cooking class, whether virtual or in person (when things are back up and running) would be a great gift. This way you get to spend time with your mom and do something fun!

I hope this helps you with some ideas for Mom.
Like I said above, I think this greatest gift this year will be for things to be somewhat back to normal and for everyone to spend the day together in person.
Fingers crossed!

Sephora Spring Sale 2020

It's finally here! The Sephora spring sale.
I've rounded up lots of products for y'all to grab during this sale.
Depending on your status you can get 20%, 15% or 10% off your purchase. Any discount is great because so many of these brands NEVER go on sale.
I've got 2 different round ups for you in this post.
The first on is what's in my cart that I will definitely be buying.
The second is products I have and love or have heard good things about and may or may not pull the trigger on.
You can also reference my morning and night time skin care routines for some additional products.
What I'm buying from the sale:
I'm super excited about this bundle. This is my normal morning moisturizer along with 2 of their sunscreens.
Y'all know I currently use their truth serum. (And have been for over 2 years now.) This is their new vitamin C serum and I have seen the Truth Serum is for people new to vitamin C and this is kind of the next step.
I currently use their Phoenix oil and LOVE it. Thinking of trying this, but also just might stick with what I know works. This one is a little cheaper which is the only reason I'm thinking of trying it.
I've gone through 2 samples of this so I think it's time to buy the full size. It's a great primer and I love that it's more of a gel.
I'm currently using the Laneige one, but it's not clean. I don't exclusively use clean beauty, but I like to use as much as possible. I've heard good things about this one so I thought I would try it.
Restocking this. Been using it for a few years now and really see a difference. You can read more about it in my post here.
I have the sample version of this and I'm obsessed! It leaves me lips feeling super hydrated and I love the color. Great for summer!
I got the sample size to try a while ago and I really like it. I have to be careful with lotions and scented products because of allergies. This one so far has not given me a reaction and it smells so heavenly. Buying the big version this time.
I'm gonna pull the trigger on this during the sale and try this as my new nighttime eye serum. The reviews are really good. It's a little pricey, but I'm hoping it will live up to the hype.
Products I have and love or am on the fence about buying:
This stuff is amazing for your hair. If your hair is in need of repair I cannot recommend this enough.
They currently have a value size so I would recommend getting that one.
If you need a relatively inexpensive makeup wipe I really like this.
This is such a great yet inexpensive skincare brand. A friend of mine works in the skincare industry and gave me a rundown on The Ordinary a few years ago. Basically they take the pretty packaging out of it and charge you what you should actually be charged for products. (That's the super short condensed version.)
I've used a few of their products and loved all of them. I would use this specific oil at night instead of the phoenix one I use or sometimes I'll mix a drop into my foundation for a dewy look.
I have a sample of this and really like it. I'm not currently in the market for new foundation though.
The foundation I currently use is Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation. I used to wear Doublewear and like this one way better!
This is probably my favorite nude lipstick EVER! I love that this is a mini set with liner and lipstick. Definitely recommend picking this up.
This is the bronzer I always use and they currently have a jumbo version. I picked it up about a month ago and I don't think I will ever finish it.
This is my absolute FAVORITE sunscreen. It goes on so great and doesn't leave me feeling oily or greasy at all. It seriously absorbs so well. It's also a clean beauty product which is always great! Pricey, but totally worth it in my opinion. (It comes in SPF 50 too. I use 30 though.)
Great time to stock up on self tanner. (I have 2 backup bottles so that's why I'm not buying.) I seriously don't know how I lived so long without self tanner. Newest obsession. Here's the mitt I use too.
I've been debating trying this dry shampoo for a while. I've heard amazing things about it. I might finally pull the trigger this time.
This is a mask that I absolutely love. It always leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated.
This is probably my favorite shampoo. It smells so good and really tones my hair. If you aren't blonde I recommend using one of their other shampoos because it smells so so good. All their products do.
This is the conditioner. I use both.
This is the deodorant I just started using. It smells so good and it's aluminum free and all that other good stuff. I have been on a pretty long journey with natural deodorant. I think this one is finally the winner. It is a little expensive for deodorant so I recommend getting it on sale when you can.
Can also do a whole blog post on my natural deodorant journey if y'all want. Just lmk.
Thinking about getting a new blush. I feel like this is the one makeup thing I don't have a ton of. I also feel like blush and highlighter take me FOREVER to go through so how many do I actually need?
I always love sharing new mascara with y'all. This is one that I really love. It gives mega volume, but doesn't feel super heavy. Am I the only one that feels like sometimes mascara can feel heavy?

Looking at these lists there's so much skin care. I was just telling my friends the other day that I used to stock up on so much makeup during this time and now all I care about is skin care items. Funny how things change with age.
What are you looking to get during this sale? I love hearing about new products. Leave them in the comments for me to check out.

Nighttime Skin care Routine

Last week I shared my morning skin care routine and today I am back to share my nighttime routine.
I think this is similar to the morning where most things are the same with a few additions/changes.

I am a huge fan of double cleansing. Especially when I wear makeup or actual sunscreen. (Not just what's in my moisturizer.) This step makes me feel like I am getting off most of the makeup, dirt, grim, etc. before using my regular cleanser. I haven't been using it much during quarantine, but definitely a must on a normal day to day basis.
This is still the same cleanser I used in my nighttime routine 2 years ago. I absolutely LOVE this product! I honestly don't know if I will EVER change to anything else. It would have to make some big promises.
This is one of those "sometimes" steps. I use this mask once a week usually. Every once in a while I will use it twice. This is usually if I have a breakout or an event coming up! This is one of my favorite masks and the only one I use consistently. I usually see my skin clear in a day or two of using it. It's also super reasonably priced!
I obviously only use this step when needed. This gel is such a lifesaver. I just dab it on any blemishes I may have and will usually see a reaction the next day. This paired with the above mask will have your skin clear in no time!
If you need hydration in the eye area this is for you.
I mentioned in my morning skincare post that I am in the market for an eye cream/treatment. I am on the hunt for a new one. (I think I know what I am going to try.) Once I have one that fights wrinkles for nighttime I will switch this to my morning routine.
I feel like this is the big shot in my nighttime routine. It's another product with vitamin C but it also has hyaluranic  acid in it. I used to use two different "serums", but switched solely to this one about a year ago.
This moisturizer is great. It's super light weight but stills feels extremely hydrating. (This is what I also said I love about my morning moisturizer. I might have said the exact same thing about my Supergoop moisturizer. Can you tell I don't like heavy products?)
I used to use this day and night like the product advertised, but it does contain a small amount of retinol which made me switch to only nighttime. Plus I needed SPF.
Final step in my nighttime routine. I think I started using facial oil a little over a year ago.
I had heard rave reviews on this one so I decided to spend the money and get a bottle. If my concentrate from Kiehl's is the big shot in my routine this is his little brother that is just as good!
I have definitely noticed a huge difference since adding this to my lineup. It makes my skin glow and I don't even know what else. Just look better! hah. This is a product I would spend the money on again and again!

So now you know my whole skin routine. There's a few other products here and there, but these are my staples. I might be giving y'all an update on this very soon as I have my eye on a bunch of new skin care items.
Do you have any holy grail products I should try? I always love hearing new skincare products/brands/etc. I used to love buying new makeup, but I swear as I get older I get more excited about skin care. Give me a new serum over new lipsticks any day now!

Tie Dye Set

Hey y'all!

How is everyone doing? I was just telling J tonight that I can't believe we are entering the 5th week of WFH/self quarantine. In some ways it doesn't feel like it's been that long, but in other ways it feels like it's been even longer. Here's to hoping things are back to somewhat normal before another 5 weeks pass.
Let's talk about today's outfit shall we?
Remember the sweatshirt from Thursday's post? Well, today I'm sharing the matching shorts that complete the set.
There are 2 things I love about this set. I love that the shorts are on the looser side. I have bigger thighs and HATE when shorts hug them. I got my normal size and the shorts fit great. I also love that the shirt is cropped, but not too cropped.
I picked this up about a month ago and I'm sure glad I did. It's such a comfy set and the tie dye is right on trend. I wear it around the house and if I have to run out I just throw on my white Adidas sneakers.

Top: Target | Shorts: Target (other sets I love here, shorts here & top here, top here & shorts here) | Shoes: Adidas | Sunnies: Amazon | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Rosewood with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Lip Gloss in Pillow Talk on top

What is your daily uniform during this time? Do you wear loungewear or still getting dressed up? I keep telling myself I need to dress up one of these days... hasn't happened yet. Maybe one day this week.

Comfy Clothes at Work

Happy Friday eve!
(I feel like I have to start every blog post by identifying what day it is in some way. If you're anything like me they are all starting to run together.)
The title of this post is probably a little confusing. Don't worry I am not back in my office. One day though we will be back in our office after a very extended period of working from home most likely in loungewear. I have definitely treated myself to some new comfy pieces these last few weeks and have started to wonder how I will still get use out of it when we do go back to the office. Today I decided to show you how I would do just that.
This sweatshirt is from a cute set I picked up from Target last month. If you have a more casual office environment you can definitely pair this with a nice pair of jeans. I went with a white pair that has no holes. I feel like holes are SUPER casual so you shouldn't pair them with a casual top. I also went with loafers to give it more of an office vibe. Depending on the top you could swap loafers for some type of heel to really elevate the look.
This outfit also held me somewhat accountable because I hadn't put on real pants in over 3 weeks. (I was thankful they still fit the same as pre quarantine snacks.)

Top: Target | Jeans: Old Navy | Shoes: Old (similar here & here) | Sunnies: Amazon | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Rosewood with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Lip Gloss in Pillow Talk | Watch Band: Amazon
What are your wearing everyday while WFH? Have you still been dressing the part or going total comfort?
I have definitely been going the comfort route. I try to make myself somewhat presentable since I usually have at least one face to face meeting a day.
I hope y'all are doing well. If you need to talk please feel free to email, leave a comment or DM me on intagram!
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. of
