Aerie Denim Shorts

If you have followed me for a while you probably know that Aerie is one of my favorite retailers. They are my go-to for active and loungewear.
Recently, when I was browsing their site I came across these denim shorts.
I am a huge denim shorts gal in the Summer, but having just had a baby none of mine fit right now.
I was going to buy a size up in my regular denim shorts, but when I saw these I thought I would give them a try.
I love them so much! haha
They are really soft and the perfect amount of baggy. They also have all the normal things denim shorts have like pockets, zipper and button closure. They just have some elastic in the back that allows for extra stretch. They fit me really good now and I know they will still fit when I get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. They will just be a little baggier, but that's totally ok with me.
I did size up one from my regular size. This was mostly to accommodate my thighs. I think as far as the waist goes I would have been fine with a medium.
I also snagged this sweatshirt. This would be such a cute look if you live or visit a beach town that gets cooler at night. Perfect for a bonfire on the beach .

Summer Classic

Today I have another super classic summer look to share with y'all.
I wore this a couple weeks ago to grab drinks and have been obsessed with wearing it ever since. I think it just really captures the essence of summer style.
These jean shorts are a million years old like I've said before, but recently I can't stop wearing them. I love that they are a true classic and will never go out of style. I love this white tank paired with them and tucked it. It really gives the look a clean classic vibe.
This hat is also a few years old. Funny story. I bought this hat 2 summers ago I believe and I wore it for the first time on Memorial Day weekend this year. Isn't it funny how things can sit around forever and eventually you will wear them? Now I honestly can't stop wearing it.
The finishing touch on the look is the earrings. I mean if lobster earrings don't remind you of summer I don't know what does. These are one of my favorite pairs of earrings I bought from the Baublebar for Target line recently. The great news is they are still available.
You will definitely catch me in this outfit a few more times before the end of the season. It's also a great option for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

I hope everyone has a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Tank Tuesday

Can I just say I’m so happy it’s Tuesday? Yesterday was SUCH a Monday! I woke up and wasn’t feeling all that great, which is never a good way to start your day. Then when I went to my car, I realized it had been broken into sometime over the weekend! Thankfully nothing was damaged or stolen. However, it’s such an icky feeling knowing that some stranger sat in my car, and went through all of my things! On top of all of that I started to get a pretty bad headache in the afternoon! Needless to say it was not the best day, and I was not able to get today’s post ready last night. But today is a new and better day.  So let’s talk about this outfit shall we?
I think Spring might officially be here to stay and this tank is going to be a staple in my closet. I’m normally not a rib knit kind of gal, but, the silhouette of this tank caught my eye! I like that it’s a little longer, and flowy at the bottom! (Great for hiding food babies when you eat too many tacos! Haha) It does cut in a little at the chest area so, I would highly suggest pairing it with a bralette. The best part about this tank though is the price… only $20!! And it’s Free People!
I decided to keep this outfit pretty simple with jean shorts and flats. This is definitely my ideal Saturday outfit for Spring/Summer!

I hope everyone is having a great week!
I know it’s only Tuesday, but I am already looking forward to the weekend! We are celebrating one of my best friends birthdays and it’s going to be a BLAST!
