Summer Blazer

Happy Thursday friends!
I have been a little off my posting schedule, and I hate that so much! With something going on every weekend in May, and the fact that it’s been raining for what feels like 2 weeks; it’s been a struggle to create content. I feel like I’ve even been slacking with instagram posts. The good news is, I finally got some outfits shot last weekend, and will be getting more shot this weekend. So, I will be back to normal next week.
With that out of the way, let’s talk about today’s outfit shall we?
Let my start by saying you need this blazer in your life. I saw it about a month ago and immediately fell in love. I didn’t pull the trigger right away because it was a little pricey. Last week I was browsing Nordstrom for the half yearly sale, and I saw this baby was a part of it!! (I instantly hit add to cart and whipped out my credit card.)
If the fact that it’s on sale hasn’t made you already check it out, let me tell you all the other reasons you need this blazer. First the color is PERFECT for summer; because it pairs with blue denim AND white denim. I also like that the sleeves are already cinched, so you don’t have to roll them if you don’t want to. And if you’re thinking why do I need a blazer when summer is about to start; this one is a linen texture and super lightweight. Great for that freezing cold office! Plus its boyfriend cut which makes it easy to dress up or down.

I hope everyone has a great Friday and an even better weekend. I plan on doing lots of blog work and posting a TON of stuff to my poshmark account. Follow me on instagram (@thefashionablylateblonde) if you’re interested in what I’ll be selling.

Memorial Day Weekend: Summer Essentials

Happy Tuesday!
With yesterday being the unofficial start of Summer I thought I would put together my Summer essentials. These are all the things I need to get me through the hot Summer says and long Summer nights.
Yes Way Rosé Beach Towel
(This is what I plan on making my beach read this summer.)
(It's waterproof which is perfect for the pool, lake or beach this summer.)
Swell Bottle
Cherry Pool Float
(I use this on my face and it's the only sunscreen that doesn't burn when I sweat or get in the water. Pricey but totally worth it!)
Straw Tote Bag
Sun Bum Sunscreen
Floral Dress
(Perfect for all those Summer weddings you've been invited to.)
Quay Australia Sunglasses

What are your Summer essentials? I'd love to hear them in the comments below.

Rainy Day Blues

It’s a miracle I was able to shot this weekend. It has been raining non-stop, and the only day it didn’t rain was Saturday. However, we had J’s birthday party so I wasn’t able to shoot that day. Luckily we were driving by one of my favorite walls on Sunday and there was a break in the rain so we hopped out and got it done.
This top is my new favorite. I got it about 2 weeks ago and I’ve already worn it 4 times!! As soon as I saw it hanging on the rack, I knew I had to have it. I love the color for summer and the hi-low silhouette is great. (I front tuck everything so this shirt does all the work for me!) It’s also extremely soft; which is always a plus. The main reason I’ve been anxious to share this top is it would be great for Memorial Day this weekend. Pair it with white shorts, or denim, add some red tassel earrings, and you’ll be good to go for a cookout or any other plans you may have.

Top: Fig & Willow | Shorts: Target old (similar here & here) | Shoes: Steve Madden (similar in more sizes here) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Lipstick: Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm in Woppin Watermelon

Speaking of MDW, what are your plans? I think we are going to head to Tampa for a day and go out on a boat. The rest of the weekend we are planning on taking it easy and relaxing. We are constantly go-go-go so it’s nice to have a 3-day weekend and take a day to just relax.

Rain Rain Go Away

Hi Babes!
This weekend was so busy with J’s birthday, Mother’s Day, & TPC going on that I got 0 content shot. I figured no worries I can knock out a shoot or two after work on Monday. Well, boy was I wrong. It’s literally been raining all day everyday the past two days, and we are supposed to get more tonight, tomorrow & Friday. (Insert eye-roll emjoi here) Luckily I stumbled upon an old outfit that I never posted, and although the top is no longer available, I’ve found lots of similar options for y’all!
You already know I LOVE stripes so this shirt was a no brainer. I love the flared sleeves and the fact that it’s so long in the back. It’s also off the shoulder so you have ALL the trends going on. I paired it with booties because I shot it back in the fall, however, you could totally pair it with some ankle strap sandals or pointy toe heels for a great date night outfit!

Top: Shein old (similar herehere & here love thisthis & this) | Jeans: Articles of Society | Shoes: Lulu's (sold out in my color) | Purse: Michael Kors old (similar here & here) | Sunnies: Nordstrom old (similar here & here) | Lipstick: I'm not 100% sure since these were taken so long ago. If I had to guess I'd say Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy in Bois De Rose

Like I said above, this shirt is long gone, but I linked lots of other shirting style options that will look great with jeans or shorts all summer long!
How’s the weather where you live? I feel like it’s raining all over the country. As long as it stops by Saturday I’m totally ok with it!

Thanks for reading. It really means so much to me!!
