Summer Reading List 2020

This past Monday kicked off the unofficial start to summer!
With that in mind I thought I would share my Summer Reading List with y'all.
Some of these are repeats from last year because honestly I did not get very far on my list last year. With a little more free time this year I am hoping to knock out all of these on top of any book club books.
If you are in need of some new summer reads check out my list below.
This is one that was on the list last year and I never got around to reading it. I finally bought the book a few weeks ago, so I will definitely be reading it soon!
This is another that was on last years list that never got read. I also bought this one a few weeks ago, so I will be reading it this summer for sure!
This seems like such a good summer beach read!
I've heard really good things about this and the synopsis sounds really good!
I'm currently reading this and it's so good. It had a lot of buzz a few months ago and I was stoked when it got picked for our book club read.
This is another I've already read. I am not normally an autobiography person, but this might honestly be one of my favorite books! It was so so good!
I'm pretty sure this was a book for the Read Heads Book Club. If you are a Toaster you will know what I'm talking about. If not, you should check out the podcast The Read Heads Book Club.
I think this was suggested in my book club once and never got picked. The synopsis sounds really good though.
This book is honestly really freaking hard to find. I linked the kindle version. That and an audio version is the only one I can find. It sounds so so good though!
This is another book that seems like a light and fun beach read.
Another one I have heard so many rave reviews about. One of my friends said it's the best book she's ever read! Bold statement!
Any Younger fans here? This is another book from the series. I also read Marriage Vacation, which is from the series. It was pretty good!
This seems like a fun one to read. Definitely a great pick for when you are laying by the pool.
If it's got the word Summer in the title it's got to be a good summer read.
This one makes the list because as much as I love a fun/easy read in the summer I do like my fair share of mystery/thriller.
This one is also a mystery/thriller. I always like to mix things up!

So there you have my 2020 summer reading list. I hope to get through a lot more than I did last year. I have already read 1 of the books and own 3 or 4 so I think the odds are in my favor.
Do you have any good book recommendations? I always love a good book suggestion.

Snake Print Knit

Happy Tuesday!
How was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend?
Ours was great and much needed! Got to spend some time with a few close friends and lots of time in the sun!
I’m so excited to share today’s outfit with y’all!
We all know snake print is super on trend. This shirt is no exception! Another thing I love about this shirt is the fabrication. It’s a really cool knit fabric. I think it gives this otherwise basic tee a luxe feel!
I paired it with black denim and heels here, but really your options are endless. For example, I have worn this with leggings and bike shorts during quarantine. You could also pair it with a cute skirt or tie it in a cute front knot over a dress. Like I said, the options really are endless. And you can get 20% off with my code 'KATIE20'

Shirt: Parkside Harbor | Jeans: Old Navy | Shoes: old (similar here & here) | Sunnies: Amazon | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Rosewood with MAC Lipglass in Snob on top
What did you do this weekend? Did you continue to quarantine or did you go out a little? We are still being pretty cautious but it was nice to get a pedicure and sit on a very social distanced patio for tacos  on Friday!

What I Bought this Week

Happy Friday friends!
I'm so excited for this 3 day weekend!
Nothing crazy planned just lots of time outside.
I haven't done a "What I Bought this Week" post in a while so I thought I would share some of my recent purchases. Some of them are even on sale which is great!

The ones I got are slightly acid wash, but I can't find them online. I own this exact pair though, and love them.
These are so cute! I ordered two and as soon as they came in I ordered 3 more. The options are ENDLESS!
I have heard great things about this book. I'll be doing my summer beach read list soon and this will definitely be on it!
I have been wearing this non stop since I got it! It's great for layering.
This is now available at Target so I picked it up on my Target run the other day.
My feet have been feeling really dry lately. I also picked these up on my Target run the other day.
Quay is doing BOGO so I JUMPED on that real quick. I ordered both pairs on this list. Here is the link to the other pair.
This is my book club book this month and I can't wait to start it! Another one that I have heard really good things about.
These are some of my favorite sandals. They are great summer shoes. I have had a pair for almost 11 years and they finally bit the dust. It's a small company in Key West but they came pretty quickly.
This is a great tee. It's very oversized. I got a medium and almost wish I went with a small. I'll make it work though. I'll also probably order a few other colors.

I hope y'all are enjoying your memorial day weekend, We have spent almost the whole weekend outside and plan on doing the same today!

Easy Breezy

Easy Breezy!
That is all that comes to mind when I think about this dress.
I think there are a few reasons for that.
The first is because it is such a great easy throw on and go piece. Style it with some flats, simple jewels, a purse and you are ready to go. You could also throw on a cute straw hat for some sun protection. I meant the options are really endless.
Now for the "breezy" part.
This dress is super lightweight and honestly just flows in the breeze.
I tend to tie it up since I'm a bit on the shorter side, but it still has a ton of movement.
The last part is the print. This blue subtle tie dye is an absolute dream!
We all know tie dye is THE TREND of the season. I like that this dress takes on that trend, but in a super subtle not in your face way!

Dress: Parkside Harbor | Shoes: Steve Madden | Purse: Amazon | Sunnies: Amazon | Necklace: Old (similar herehere, & here) | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Rosewood
I have this dress in 2 other colorways and will probably buy it in at least 1 more before the summer is over.
Y'all know I am all about a good staple piece and in multiple colors!

I hope you are having a great week! I am SO ready for this 3 day weekend.
It is definitely much needed!
Thanks for stopping by and following along!
I really appreciate it!

BOGO Swim Sales

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend, which is the unofficial start of summer.
With that being said Memorial Day sales are in full swing. Two of my favorite retailers are currently doing BOGO swim and I am so excited! Even if we don't have summer trips planned like normal I'm sure you will be spending some time outside in some capacity. If you are in need of some new swim you should definitely check out my roundup below.
I have this top in my shopping bag currently! I think it is so fun! I also want it in the blue palm print pattern.
Do yourself a favor and buy these in every color! They are so freaking flattering. I own them in 2 colors right now and will be buying at least 1 more pair during the sale.
This top seems SUPER flattering in my opinion! Definitely seems like it would provide a decent amount of support.
These are really cute. I think the detail adds a little something extra.
I'm a sucker for a cute one shoulder bikini top!

I think this suit is so fun and sporty!
This is another one I think looks so fun!
We all know tie dye is the biggest trend right now!
I just bought this suit and can't wait to wear it!
This suit is so flattering! My friend wore it to a pool party last year and it looked so so good!

What are your plans for Memorial Day weekend? Will you be enjoying some time outside?
I'm not 100% sure what our plans are, but I can promise you they include some type of outdoor activities.

Back to Work?

Hey y'all!
How is everyone doing?
Still just going along living the quarantine life over here!
I do feel like there have been a lot of changes (at least in the state of Florida) and some people might be heading back to work soon.
With that in mind, today I am taking a break from our regularly scheduled quarantine outfits to bring you this amazing dress!
I saw this a few weeks ago when I was browsing Lulu's and fell in love.
I immediately thought it could be dressed up or down and y'all know I love a versatile piece.
I personally would wear this to my office with flats and a jean jacket but I decided to dress it up for y'all.
I know most people don't have a dress code quite as casual as mine, so I paired it with these cute quilted heels and my new Tory Burch bag.
You could also add a blazer for more coverage. When it's time for HH just take that off and you're ready to go.

Dress: Lulu's (I sized up to a large.) | Shoes: Lulu's | Bag: Tory Burch | Sunnies: Old (similar here & here) | Lipstick: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Rosewood with MAC Cosmetics Lipglass in Snob
I know most people aren't in the office right now and this probably isn't practical. However, I would like to think we will be going back to normal one day and this would be a great piece to have in your wardrobe. Maybe a back to work treat for yourself?
It comes in two other colors and I really love the brown!

Adidas Ultraboost Review

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I got a new pair of running shoes at the start of quarantine. With gyms being closed I knew I would be doing a lot of outdoor running. I am extremely prone to shine splints and the one thing that helps is a good pair of shoes. I had my old pair for about a year and a half so I knew I needed a new pair.
I am always willing to spend money on a good pair of shoes because I know they can make a huge difference. I started wear Brooks about 2.5 years ago when I started training for my first half marathon. I absolutely LOVE them, but my friend told me I should try Adidas Ultraboost. She used to only wear Brooks but she made the switch and never looked back.
When I found myself looking for new shoes I stumbled upon a pair of Ultraboost on sale and decided to pull the trigger.
I have been wearing them for almost 2 months now and thought I would share my thoughts with you.
I'll start with letting y'all know I absolutely love these.
The first time I put them on I could feel so much cushion and support in the heel area and just knew they were going to be great.
I will say it took a couple runs to break them in, but that's to be expected. Since I've gotten them all broken in my joints, shins and calves have been feeling so much better. (I've ran on the beach and the pavement. No treadmill yet because #coronavirus)
The only downside I could potentially see is they are a little heavy. That isn't something I usually look at so it doesn't bother me, but I know that is a factor to some. The weight definitely comes from the cushion in the heel so for me it would outweigh the negative.
I think I can officially say I have found a new brand/style of running shoes. I will definitely be buying another pair in the future. I've linked them in a few places below. They have been on sale quite a bit lately so if you are currently looking keep an eye out for a sale.

Shoes: Adidas Ultraboost (also herehere, & here) | Tank: Adidas (similar here) | Leggings: Amazon | Sunnies: Amazon | Lipstick: NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman

What are your favorite running shoes? I'm always interested in trying out new ones.
What have been your go-to workouts during quarantine too? I also need some of those!
