Christmas Jammies

Happy Monday y’all!
Normally I would not put happy and Monday in the same sentence but its Christmas week so there’s lots to be happy about.
Something I’m really happy about lately…pajamas. No seriously, I don’t know what has gotten into me this year but I have been obsessed with new PJ’s. My Christmas collection has grown quite a lot in the past few weeks. Normally I don’t like long sleeve and long pants (I get insanely hot when I sleep) but these plaid ones were too cute to pass up. Plus, they are so soft and cozy. The plaid print makes them perfect for Christmas Eve snuggling on the couch, and even more perfect for Christmas morning, while opening presents. Another plus, they came with a free tank at the time so I can sleep in that with the pants and then throw on the shirt when I wake up.
If you want a pair of these select 2-day shipping and you will have them in time for all those Christmas Eve and Christmas morning festivities. (Right now if you spend $100 2 day shipping is free with code SHIP2DAY)
I hope everyone enjoys their week and finishes any last minute Christmas shopping hassle free.

Pajamas: Victoria Secret My exact print is sold out but this is them. (similar here I also own these and this love these and this and this) | Mug: Anthropologie | Lipstick: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso

P.S. Sorry about the picture quality. I was supposed to shoot these yesterday, but wasn't feeling well, so I shot them tonight when I got off work.

Christmas Dress

Happy Friday!
I am so happy the week is almost over. I still have to work tomorrow but it’s my last Saturday of the year, so that’s something to celebrate.
Wednesday I showed you what to wear to a tacky sweater party and today I’m talking about what to wear to something a little more sophisticated.
When I first saw this dress, I was immediately drawn to the color and thought Christmas Party!!
The ruffle detail makes it classy and is completely on trend. I also like the drop waist, which is unusual because that style typically doesn’t flatter my body. I think the material and double layer is what makes it work.
The best part about this dress is there is a million ways to style it. I kept it simple since it’s been hot and paired it with nude cutout booties, gold jewels, and a gold clutch. However, it would also look cute with black tights and black heels or OTK boots. The possibilities are endless with this perfect holiday dress.
The good news is you can still get it in time for Christmas Eve if you order and select next day shipping. If you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg in shipping cost, I suggest checking your local BCBGeneration.

Hope y’all have a great weekend and if you have any last minute Christmas shopping to do, I hope it’s not too crazy out there!

Sequins & Sparkle & Shine Oh My

Hi lovlies!
Can you believe New Year's Eve is only 2 weeks away?! Where has 2015 gone?
New Year's Eve is probably one of my favorite holidays. I love getting dressed up and going out on the town. I also love what it stands for. Reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the new one. It holds so many memories yet so much possibility.
With all that being said, today I rounded up some great options for you to kiss 2015 goodbye and say hello to 2016!

Holiday Party: Tacky Christmas Sweater

Tis the season for holiday parties!
I believe there are two types of parties this time of year: the work party/something classy and ugly Christmas sweater parties. Today I’m showing y’all my outfit for the latter. I feel like we really can’t call them “ugly” because they have become so trendy. I prefer to call them tacky. When I was a teenager, my mom had so many Christmas sweaters and I was always whining, “Mom why are you wearing those they are not cute.” Well this year we actually bought matching ones to wear on Christmas. Unfortunately, because of unforeseen circumstances, I will not be spending Christmas with my family. Nevertheless, I still plan on wearing this sweater on Christmas and to a tacky sweater party this weekend.
With bottoms, you can go one of two ways. The first option would be going all out with some crazy Christmas leggings and maybe ugg boots. The second way is the look I went for with a little more basic bottom. I like that the leather leggings keep it simple and let the sweater be front and center. It would also look really cute and somewhere in between the two looks if you had sequin leggings. Add a red lip and a cute Christmas hat and you’re ready to go!
I think for my party I’m going to get some earmuffs and bling them out a la Chanel number three. Hehe

Sweater: Belk (another  here, love this one, and this one if you're going with a friend or SO this one is PERFECT!) | Leggings: Forever21 old (similar here and here if you want sparkle these are a great option) | Heels: Gianni Bini old (similar here love these and these and these) | Lip Color: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery | Wine Bag: Marshall's last year (similar here and here)

Have you gone to any sweater parties this year? If so what did you wear?

October Glam Bag Review

Hey y’all!
I am so behind on this but, today I am finally reviewing all the products in my October Glam Bag from Ipsy.
I loved the 2-tone bag this month with black on one side and gold on the other. It will definitely be used for something. Now let’s move on to the actual review of the products.
First up, Aurora Gel Effect Nail Polish in Inky Dinky. I first thought this color was purple and wasn’t super excited but when I put it on it is more navy. I was actually extremely impressed with this product. I put it on with no topcoat, and had no chips for over a week. The price point is pretty wallet friendly too. I would highly suggest this, and will probably be buying more colors.
Next was Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick from theBalm Cosmetics in Committed.  I really liked this lip stuff and it’s what I’m wearing in all the photos. It has a gloss like applicator but dries matte and stays all day. I’m not completely in love with the color but they have others. The best part is, it has a minty flavor that I love!
The next “product” isn’t really a product at all. I finally received a brush this time and I was so happy. The Standard Eyeshadow Shader Brush from Royal and Langnickle Moda is amazing. It’s pretty stiff, which I like for applying shadow to my outer lid. Plus the brush is pink, which is always a win in my book. J
The fourth product was a face wash. I’m usually a little skeptical about trying face washes since I have my own routine that I love; but I’ll usually try them at least once for reviewing purposes. The Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub from Peter Lamas was pretty amazing. Since this one is an exfoliator I skipped my Clarisonic and just used my hands. It made my face feel really clean and fresh and the scent was amazing. I would say it’s definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a new face scrub.
The last product in this bag was an Ipsy exclusive hand cream. If you’ve read my reviews before you know I’m allergic to scented lotions and therefore stay away from anything other than my Jergens and Nivea. Since it is exclusive to Ipsy you really aren’t missing out.
Overall I really liked the products from this month. I will be buying more nail polish and brushes and will be keeping the face scrub around for travel perhaps.

Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Hey y'all!
Today I have another gift guide for ya featuring stocking stuffer ideas. When I was younger I always loved opening my stocking. It always had smaller gifts like these and tons of candy! Everything here is under $25 which I think is perfect for stockings.

1. 2016 planner Always a great gift this time of year.
2.  Christmas ornament My mom gets me an ornament every year. I love looking back on them over the years.
3.  Earrings Something small but they will wear often.
4. Lipgloss This set of 3 is a great deal.
5. Eyeshadow palette The smaller version of their larger palette.
6. Phone case I am always needing/wanting a new phone case. This one is officially on my list.
7. Fluffy key chain These are so trendy right now. I literally own 3.
8. Passport holder & luggage tag This would be great if they were getting a trip somewhere for Christmas.
9. Shot glasses Great for someone that just moved or is decorating a bar cart.
10. Travel mug The ones from Starbucks are always cute and sell out quick.

Swing Dress

TGIF!
I don’t know about y’all but it has been a long week back after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Today, as promised, I’m showing you another way to wear the dress from Wednesday’s post.
Who doesn’t love a good blanket scarf? I can promise you this gal does. I immediately thought a big blanket scarf would add some much needed print to this dress, so I kept it simple, and just wrapped it around. However, it would also look cute draped over your shoulders and belted. The belt would be another great accessory to add interest to the dress. Now, let’s talk about what might be my favorite part of this outfit…the shoes. The hemline is pretty short so, it pairs perfectly with OTK boots. I have been dying to wear these, since they arrived on my doorstep. However, with the heat here in Florida, they required the perfect outfit; aka a dress.
Since this outfit is pretty neutral, it allows the color of the dress to stand out. Add a dark lip and you’re ready for a day full of festivities.

Dress: BCBGeneration (Like I said Wednesday I can't find the teal but suggest the black.) | Blanket Scarf: Old Navy old (similar here) | Boots: Steve Madden | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Lip Color: Mac Rebel

My Christmas Wish List

Today I have a gift guide for myself. I know that might sound kind of weird, but if you're anything like me when people ask you what you want for Christmas you draw a complete blank. I'm here to try and help you with that by showing you some things I have on my list this year.

1. I have been want Hunter Boots for a while now. Maybe this year will be the year.
2. I desperately need a new watch and I love this Kate Spade one.
3. I definitely do NOT need new sunglasses, but I have been wanting these exact ones for a while now.
4. Who doesn't love a good monogram necklace? I love this one in the 3XL.
5. I have become obsessed with Kendra Scott jewelry and this ring is no exception.
6. If there is one thing I absolutely must have this Christmas it's this Tory Burch bag.
7. I am also in desperate need of a new wallet. The color and scalloped edge on this one is just darling!
8. A bar cart is always a great gift. I have so many cute ideas for decorating one too!

P.S. It was a struggle to come up with these eight items. ;)

In-Vested

Happy hump day!
Today I am showing y’all my favorite outfit as of late.
I am obsessed with both of these pieces, and would wear some variation of this every day, if that were socially acceptable.
If I had to pick a favorite of the two items, I would have to say the vest. First, it is completely on trend with the longer midi length. I also LOVE that it has pockets. Seriously, if something has pockets I will buy it on that fact alone. Lastly, it has an almost quilted detail that really gives it a lux look.
I must admit I was a little intimidated by the vest when I first saw it, which is why I immediately thought to pair it with this dress.
I love simple dresses that are easy to throw on and dress up with shoes, accessories, or other clothing pieces. This dress is perfect for this time of year with long sleeves and a mock neck. In addition, the fabric is really light, so it’s perfect for layering.  Throw on a pair of tights and OTK boots and boom you’re ready for cold weather.
Oh and did I mention the price point on both of these is extremely wallet friendly?

Dress: BCBGeneration (I can't find my color but highly suggest the black) | Vest: BCBGeneration (I am thinking of buying this one too) | Booties: Aldo old (similar here) | Sunnies: Boutique (similar here) | Lipstick: Mac Rebel

P.S. Since I love both these pieces, so much I’ll be showing you another way I wear each piece.
