Spring in the West Village

This was one of the best days of my recent trip to NYC.
It started out as a beautiful, sunny spring day so I decided to wear this dress. I knew I would be walking a lot so I decided to pair it with my favorite white sneakers. And let me just say that I'm glad I also threw on my leather jacket because it turned super cold and rainy just a little bit later.
I met my best friend up town and we decided to venture down to the West Village for lunch. The West Village is so beautiful and I could get lost for hours just wandering the streets. There's so many pretty brownstones, cute shops and yummy restaurants. That's actually exactly what we did this day. There was a wait at the restaurant we wanted to eat at so we put our name on the list and just started walking around and popping into random shops.
If you ever find yourself in NYC you have to spend some time here.
And if you're hungry definitely check out Via Carota. That's where we ate and it was AMAZING!! We also may or may not have seen Jake Gyllenhaal. (Another friend later told us that apparently it's a hot spot for celebs.)

Dress: H&M | Jacket: Topshop old (similar here & here) | Shoes: Nike | Sunnies: Quay Australia |

I do want to take one more minute to talk about this outfit.
I actually love how this outfit turned out. I don't think this is how I originally styled this dress in my mind, but it definitely works. I love when that happens.
My best friend also reminded me of how I always used to wear sneakers with my dresses when we were interns and he would make fun of me. Now it's super trendy. If you're looking for some sneakers to pair with your dresses (or anything else) I highly recommend these. They are probably one of my most worn shoes.

Sweatshirts & Shoulder Details

We all know that shoulder details are trending right now.
I shared this post a few weeks ago talking all about how shoulder pads are making their comeback and today I have another shoulder pad look for you.
I feel like they started making an appearance in t-shirts and bodysuits sometime late summer/fall of 2020. However, in the last few months they are started moving into a ton of other silhouettes. While a sweatshirt isn't too far off from said t-shirt and bodysuits I do love how elevated and edgy they make it look.
As soon as I saw this online I just had to have it. I thought it would look so chic with black pants and heels to wear to the office. However, since we are transitioning into spring/summer I thought I would pair it with white jeans. And if you want one more way to style it I think it would look so freaking cute with this black mini skirt & sneakers! I mean you really can't go wrong with however you decide to style it. And if you need any more reasons to buy it did I mention it's under $15?!?

Sweatshirt: H&M (my exact color is sold out. I love both the colors that are still available though.) | Jeans: Old Navy old (similar here & here) | Shoes: Old (similar here & here) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Orchid with Buxom Full-On-Plumping Lip Cream in White Russian on top

So there you have it. That's the many ways I would style this sweatshirt. Y'all know I think it's very important to be able to wear something many different ways. I really do my best to at least share one other way you can wear something.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Mine has been a little slow, but I'm sure it will pick up in the next day or so.
Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Gingham

How freaking fun is this dress? When I was shooting it with my Mom I was like I need to reel it in. All these photos are just going to be of me twirling or throwing my skirt. She was like isn't that the point? And I guess she's right. If you're wearing a dress like this you should have all the fun!
I love gingham for spring and when I saw this light purple option I just had to have it. I originally planned to bring it with me on my trip to NYC, but the weather had other plans in mind so I shot it before I left. It would have looked so pretty in the park with all the cheery blossoms in the background. (Insert here eye emoji here.)
I also have to take a moment to talk about these sandals. I saw them on another bloggers page and immediately fell in love. (I now can't remember which blogger for the life of me.)
Anyway the pearl detail is so pretty and fun. I will definitely be wearing these all spring & summer long. They go with so much and can really dress up a simple jeans and t-shirt look.
Did I mention that both the dress and sandals are under $25 EACH!! You can literally get this whole outfit for under $45!! Such a good deal! The dress is a total Sundress brand dupe too!

Dress: Shein (also love this one and this one) | Shoes: Shein | Hat: Shop Sunhoney (Snag this hat ASAP! She has had to restock this thing like 100 times.) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Wild Berry with Buxom Full-On-Plumping Lip Cream in White Russian

You can also use your discount multiple times over the event.
Below I have rounded up some of my favorite makeup, skincare and haircare items.
These are all items I have used or have in my cart to buy during the sale.
This is one of my new favorite skincare products.
New nighttime moisturizer. My facialist told me I needed a thicker night cream. The girl at Sephora suggested this one and I like it so far. Haven't been using long enough to really say.
I've been wanting to try this for so long. Think I might finally pull the trigger.
This is one of my favorite masks!
Holy grail sunscreen hands down!
This stuff smells amazing and is SUPER moisturizing.
Just bought this to try.
I ran out of my normal Hyaluronic Acid serum and bought this as a quick fix. It's really great especially for this price.
I love this stuff for double cleansing.
Been using this for 2ish years and still love it! The SPF if great and it has zinc, which is what you want.
This is one of my favorite vitamin C serums. I only bought the other one above to try something new.

I feel like this gives my hair some extra body & volume.
I've been wanting to try this for so long to see if it actually works.
This brand is expensive, but I promise it's worth it. I bought it on sale, but when I run out I plan to buy the jumbos. If you are someone that doesn't wash your hair that often it's definitely worth the splurge.
I always keep this in my beach/pool bag. It smells really good and I like the texture it adds.
This is my ride or die favorite product. It says it's a finishing spray, but I use it before I curl my hair. I also just use it to give my hair texture sometimes when it's straight.
This stuff is amazing. I swear you can actually hear it absorbing the oil.
This is my current favorite. I think I have 3 backup cans on my shelf. haha
If you have damaged hair I highly suggest picking this up. I use it as a hair mask once every week or 2 and it helps keep my hair healthy.

This is my favorite brow pencil of all time. I like that it's thicker than the Brow Wiz.
I bought a 4 pack of these during the holidays and I am OBSESSED!!
This is my favorite powder bronzers. I love that it comes with a brush too.
I use this to contour my face and I love it.
Hands down my favorite lip balm. It comes in a bunch of different flavors. I think I'm going to pick up this new peach one. Or maybe grapefruit. Maybe both. I constantly misplace my lip balm so I can never have enough.
Since my brows are micro-bladed & tinted I use this to brush them up and keep them in place. Swipe on each brow and I'm good to go.
I started using this last year after using loose powder for a long time. I really like the finish this one has. I will say I was reminded a few weeks ago why I stopped using pressed powder... you drop it and it breaks. Ughhh
I just bought this in White Russian and I can't stop wearing it. It has a tingle and slightly plumps your lips.
The colors in this look beautiful. Pretty sure I will be buying this.
I wear this in the color Pillow Talk ALL THE TIME!!! It's my go-to and looks great on everyone.
This is one of those items I always go back to. I have seriously been wearing this since I was a child in dance recitals. It's also hypoallergenic if you have any allergies.
I love this color in this. I think I might buy this pallet as well. Can never have too many eyeshadow pallets. haha
This is my go-to foundation. 90% of the time this is what I am wearing in photos.
I have shared this highlighter a lot recently. If you get it I highly suggest Champagne Pop or Opal.
I've been wanting to try this for a while. I love my Shape Tape, but it's always good to try new things.

What are you looking forward to snagging during the sale? I have mostly makeup in my cart, which is somewhat surprising because the last year or two I feel like it's been mostly skincare. Time to treat myself I guess. haha
Happy shopping!!

Beach Vacation Ready

I think it's safe to say the tie dye trend is still going strong in 2021. And I am definitely here for it. I've honestly always loved a good tie dye piece even before it had it's big moment in 2020.
This year I think we will see it even more as we start to move away from lounge wear only.
Don't get me wrong, I will definitely still be wearing a ton of athleisure, but I am looking forward to dressing up a bit more in 2021.
I saw this dress a few weeks ago when I was browsing for Spring and I just had to have it.
I think the colors are what first caught my eye. It kind of reminds me of a sunset. The silhouette, slit and ruffle detail also sold me on it. These style dresses are PERFECT for hot summer days and nights.
Throw on a pair of flats and you're ready for brunch with the girls. Pair it with heels (like I did here) and you're ready for date night.
And if you have a beach vacation planned this year you definitely need this dress. It's Summer vacay vibes all day long! (I will be packing it when we go to Mexico later this Summer.)

Dress: Red Dress Boutique currently sold out. Get on the waitlist though. (similar here & here) | Shoes: Target | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Earrings: Amazon | Lips: Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Wild Berry with Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Cream in White Russian

Here's hoping there are a lot of vacations in our future tropical or otherwise. And to wearing more dresses like this.
I hope everyone has a great week! I am super busy at work because I'm off all next week. I'm actually heading on a trip so stay tuned to see where.
Thanks so much for reading today's post!
