What to Wear: Outdoor Wedding

Wedding season is just around the corner, and I have one coming up in a couple of weeks; and one of my friends basically has a wedding every other week from now until May.
One of the first things I think about when I get an invitation is what I’m going to wear. There are a few things to consider when figuring this out. Where is it, the time of year, and if there is a dress code. One of my favorite places to look for wedding attire is Lulu’s! They have the BEST selection of dresses, short dresses, long dresses, casual dresses and cocktail dresses. Seriously, if you can’t find a dress here you probably won’t find one. I found this dress last April when I was heading to my cousins wedding on a plantation in South Carolina. (This dress would also be perfect for a beach wedding, or any other outdoor venue.) The nice thing about this dress is that you can dress it up, or down. If you are headed to a casual beach wedding, you can throw on a pair of sandals and keep your accessories very minimal. If you’re going to a fancy evening wedding, pair it with some amazing heels, lots of jewels, and some really glam makeup and you will be good to go. Also if green isn’t your color, this dress comes in 8 other colors! All of which are perfect for a spring wedding. (That’s another great thing about Lulu’s…most of their dresses come in multiple colors.)
I’ve linked this dress and some of my other favorite options from Lulus below. (I might have thrown in a jumpsuit or two, because I just can’t help myself.)

Dress: Lulu's (also love thisthisthisthisthis jumpsuit, this jumpsuit, & this jumpsuit) | Shoes: Steve Madden | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Earrings: Baubulebar old (similar here) | Lipstick: Nars Lipstick in Orgasm

I hope you all have a great Tuesday, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Pom Poms & Plaid

Pom pom beanies have been EVERYWHERE this winter. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love them!
J got me one for Christmas, so when I saw this all black one on a local boutiques instagram; I just had to have it. I just love how big and fluffy the pom is on this one. I’ve linked this one and a few others below. If I’m being honest I’ll probably buy at least one more. (J asked me the other day how many pom pom beanies a FL girl needed. I just proceeded to roll my eyes. Hah)
I also wanted to share this plaid shirt that I got during the Nsale in July and its back in stock and on sale. There’s limited sizing, so if you want this one or one in another color, hurry and grab one before they are gone. It’s super soft and long, which is great for styling it multiple different ways.
Last I can’t post pictures of our newest addition and not talk about him. If you follow me on instagram (@thefashionablylateblonde) you know J surprised me with a puppy for Christmas. Everyone, I would like for you to meet my new best friend…Ramsey. (He’s named after an FSU player who is now a Jaguar.) We brought him home a little over a week ago, and things have been interesting to say the least. Haha Ramsey definitely keeps us on our toes, but is the sweetest babe and I wouldn’t trade him for anything. (Even when he tears holes in all my shirts and my favorite sweatpants.)

Shirt: Nordstrom | Tank: Topshop old (similar here love this) | Jeans: Dillard's | Boots: DSW old (almost identical here & here) | Beanie: Rosie True (also have this one, have my eye on this one, love this & this) | Lip Color: Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in Rosewood

I hope everyone has a great weekend. What are your plans? We are probably going to take Ramsey to a brewery to meet some friends, I plan on working on a bunch of blog content, and Sunday I’m going to see Forever My Girl with my mom. Has anyone seen it yet? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments below.

What to Wear: Valentine's Day Edition

Hi lovelies.
Valentine's Day is the next big holiday. Can you believe it? Since it's pretty much right around the corner I thought I would put together some inspiration on what to wear that day. Whether you have a date with your guy or you're having a wine night with your gals I've got ya covered. Fancy or chill there's something for you below.
Lulu's Red Shift Dress (available in pink and garnet also)
Lulu's Marble Clutch (Great neutral piece that would look great with a red outfit)
Lulu's Black Lace Backless Dress (also comes in white which I love for V-day)

I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself for getting this up well before Valentine's Day. You should have plenty of time to order any of this stuff and get it WAY before February 14. What is everyone's plans for that day? J and I will probably go to dinner and just watch a movie at home. We never do anything too crazy for V-day.
P.S. I'm hoping to work on a couple Valentine's Day gift guides for next week. Let me know if there is anyone in particular you are having trouble shopping for in the comments below!

At Home Teeth Whitening with Smile Brilliant

If you’ve followed me for a while, (especially on instagram), you know I LOVE coffee and red wine! These two things unfortunately leave my smile stained, dull, and definitely not looking the best. As a fashion blogger, my smile is one of my best accessories. Because of this I’m always looking for ways to whiten my smile. I use whitening toothpaste like crazy; however, I definitely needed something more. (I HATE white strips because they taste super weird, never stay on, and leave my teeth feeling cakey afterward.)
When Smile Brilliant reached out to me, I was more than thrilled to give their product a try. This at home whitening kit gives you professional results on your time, and from the comfort of your own home, (no ones got time to go to the dentist for whitening). It also comes with a much more affordable price tag.  Read on to see just how easy it is and enter to win your own teeth whitening kit.
Your kit comes with everything you need. First you make your impressions. This may sound hard, but I promise you, if I can figure it out so can you. I was so nervous I was going to mess up, but they even give you a back up paste in case it doesn’t come out right the first time. Once you’ve made your impressions, you send those back, and then you receive your custom trays a few days later. Once you get those you are good to start whitening. I usually pop mine in around 9pm while I watch Grey’s Antonymy, or while doing blog stuff.  Then I take them out right before bed. On top of the whitening gel, you get a desensitizing gel to use as well. Let me tell you this stuff is AHMAZING! (I’ve used similar whitening products from my dentist and they left my teeth super sensitive. I thought I would have to use sensitive toothpaste on top of the gel, however, I kept forgetting to pick some up and I was totally fine.) If you’ve been looking to whiten your teeth, I cannot recommend Smile Brilliant enough. Check out my before and after pictures below, and then enter the giveaway to win your own kit from Smile Brilliant.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and here's the giveaway link to enter to win your very own kit from Smile Brilliant! The giveaway will run for two weeks! If you don't want to wait that long use code fashionablylateblonde15 for $15 off your order.

Pearl Details

Tuesday I talked about the ruffle trend, and I thought I would keep the theme of trends rolling this Thursday with another favorite trend of mine…pearl detail!
Just like ruffles, pearl detail is everywhere. I’ve seen it on jeans, tops, hats, dresses, I means it’s literally everywhere. (I’ll link some of my favorites below.) I started seeing these jeans at the beginning of fall, but all of them had a very hefty price tag. When I found these on Nordstrom.com for under $50 it was a no brainer, so I immediately ordered them. I think they have the perfect amount of pearls without being too over the top. It’s girly bu, subtle. I paired them with my favorite white booties and this super warm chunky knit sweater for a cold day of walking around DT Raleigh with J. I also love them with a leather jacket because y’all know I love mixing girly with edgy.

Sweater: Forever21 old (similar herehere, & here) | Jeans: Nordstrom (other pearl pieces more denimshoessweaterbeaniesweaterdenimdress just search pearl detail on any of these websites and so much will come up) | Booties: Lulus | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Earrings: BaubleBar old (similar here) | Lipstick: Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in Rose Wood
What do you think of this trend? Do you like ruffles or pearl detail better? (I think it’s a tie for me!) I hope you have a great weekend. Check back on Tuesday for a fun project I’ve been working on plus a GIVEAWAY!!

Ruffle Shuffle

Ruffles!
Ruffles are currently a huge trend, and I love it! Seriously, give me all the ruffles. Ruffle sleeves are probably having the biggest moment right now. Every website and store I go into has ruffle sleeve sweaters, tops, and dresses. When I saw this sweater back in November, I knew I just had to have it. I originally bought it to wear on Thanksgiving, and I haven’t stopped wearing it since.  I’ve wanted to get this post up forever, and unfortunately I’m too late. This guy was part of the Nordstrom sale after Christmas, and both colors sold out. But have no fear because I’ve linked a ton of other ruffle sleeve options below.

Sweater: Nordstrom (other options hereherehereherehere, & here also love this) | Jeans: Old Navy | Boots: Vince Camuto old (similar here & here) | Purse: Michael Kors old (similar here & here love this) | Sunnies: Ray Ban | Earrings: BaubleBar old (this years version here) | Necklace: Gift (identical here) | Lipstick: Sephora Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in Always Red

What do you think? Are you loving the ruffle sleeve trend as much as me or are you over it? Let me know in the comments below.
