Fall Horizon Maxi

Can you believe fall is on the horizon? I mean we are only a few short days away from August and fall will be here before you know it!
I personally am totally ready for it. It's been 90+ degrees every day for a while now and I am OVER it! Going outside after 8am means you will be drenched in sweat in a matter of minutes. I am not here for it.
Today's piece is one of my first transitional pieces of the later half of the year.
This is the perfect flowy maxi dress to wear now while it's 100 degrees and pair with some layering pieces in a couple months when it cools off.
I think the colors are what really makes this dress a transition piece. The blue is super summery in my opinion. However the brown makes me think of fall.
I paired it with a pair of sandals to keep things simple here. In October you could add a pair of booties and a suede or denim jacket. The options are really endless.
I'm wearing a medium and honestly wish I'd gotten a small. It does have a tie at the waist which helps it fit a little better. I tied it tight and then pulled some of the fabric up so I could shorten it for the flats.

Dress: VICI (In stock in all sizes!! That never happens with VICI.) | Shoes: Steve Madden (also love these) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Purse: Tory Burch | Lip Color: Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Sell Out

Are you ready for fall or still soaking up the summer heat? I'm definitely in for a few more pool/beach days, but maybe it could be 78 degrees instead of 91. I don't know. A gal can dream.

Lounge Romper

Happy Thursday!
I am so ready for the weekend. This week has literally been non-stop.
I will probably wear this outfit at some point this weekend.
I just purchased this romper before 4th of July weekend because it just seemed like something I really needed in my life right now. It did not disappoint. It's super soft and comfy, but you can totally dress it up. It's a perfect work from home piece that you can also wear out and about.
Did I mention it comes in a ton of color options? I decided to go with the soft pink to break away from my normal neutral color pallet.
This hat is also my new favorite purchase. I'm a huge fan of hats but I don't always love the price tags that come with them. This one is really good quality and won't break the bank.

Romper: Amazon | Purse: Amazon | Hat: Fig & Willow (If you call the store they can ship. It's called the Panama hat. Similar option here) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Shoes: Steve Madden (also love this update) | Lips: Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Sell Out

How is everyone doing? Still quarantining? My job told my this morning that the earliest we will go back to work is November. Not complaining because I finally just bought a desk about 3 weeks ago. I am also cleaning out our guest room so I can make it double as my office. (Follow me on Poshmark- Katie_tflb and Mercari- KatieB because I am getting rid of so much stuff. And at really good prices.)
I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!

P.S. I sized up to a large for a roomier fit. Medium is my normal and would have fit fine.

Take me to Tulum

Take me to Tulum!
That's actually the name of this set. I would also like to go to to Tulum right about now and this set would be the perfect thing to wear.
I think the thing I miss most about "normal" life is travel. This year was supposed to be a HUGE travel year for me. While I'm super thankful I got to go to Paris and Vegas (twice) I am definitely sad for all the trips I had to cancel.
I would love to be in Mexico right now wearing this cute set! I mean would it not be perfect for sitting at a beach bar with your toes in the sand?
Even if you aren't traveling to a foreign beach destination you need this set in your closet.
I personally am a huge fan of two piece sets because you can get so many outfits out of them. This one is no exception. I think the smocked, ruffle top is my favorite part. It would also look really cute with denim shorts.
The bottoms are also great because they have pockets! What girl doesn't like pockets? I think they are supposed to be a little cropped, but since I'm so short they are just normal pants.
I literally forgot ALL my shoes at home on this shoot day so I had to wear these flats with EVERYTHING. I think they look great, but it would look even better with a pair of wedges.
You definitely need this set in your closet for these last few weeks of summer. And don't forget that you can totally pair these pants with a chunky sweater and some booties come fall.

Set: Parkside Harbor | Shoes: Steve Madden (also love this updated version) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Bag: Amazon | Lips: Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Sell Out

Brami

Happy Thursday!
It has been such a long week! I am definitely looking forward to a somewhat low key weekend starting tomorrow.
Today I'm excited to share one of my favorite trends/styles at the moment... the barmi.
I first heard of this a few weeks ago when I went shopping with a friend. We saw some in a local boutique and she told me she had just bought one and LOVED it.
Fast forward a couple weeks and I started seeing them EVERYWHERE! I figured why not give it a try.
I ordered two from Fig & Willow and I am obsessed. They are so soft and and great for lounging, working out, running errands, or really anything.
I wore this one with some of my favorite leggings and sneakers. I think it would also look cute with bike shorts, relaxed comfy shorts and even jean shorts.
I highly suggest picking one up. I've seen them in a few different fabrications so I have linked lots below.

Top: Fig & Willow (more options hereherehere, & here) | Leggings: Zella | Shoes: Adidas my color option is no longer available, but there are some really cute ones. | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lips: NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound

Have you seen this trend? What are your thoughts? I was a little hesitant at first, but glad I decided to pick one up!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I will be organizing/ rearranging my house and working on some blog stuff. Such a good weekend in my book.

No Shady Beaches

No shady beaches!
That's my mantra for the summer. hah
Who doesn't love a good graphic tee? I can tell you that I sure do!
This one is no exception. I actually borrowed this one from my mom and decided to knot it since it was a little big.
I paired it with one of my favorite skirts and love how it became a kind of monochromatic look. I bought this skirt back in November or December and it is definitely a piece you can wear all year. I stuck with a neutral color, but it comes in about 13 other options. (I really want the coral for summer.)

Top: Parkside Harbor | Skirt: Free People | Shoes: Steve Madden (also love these) | Sunnies:  Quay Australia | Lips: MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig | Necklace: Bryan Anthonys

What are your thoughts on graphic tees and monochromatic looks? I would love to hear them in the comments below.
