Life Update: 10/18

Hi friends.
You might have noticed I’ve been a little MIA here lately. (Ok…more than a little.) I haven’t posted a blog post in about 3 weeks and have been super sporadic about posting on IG. (Other than when I was in California.) To be honest, I’ve been feeling uninspired the past month or so. Things have been super busy at work, I’ve been exhausted and it’s still 100 degrees out and all I want to do is shoot fall content. All these things just left me feeling burnt out. Normally I would push myself to just post some type of content, but I thought taking a break would be better. I’m so glad I decided to give myself a break.  After a bit of a recharge in California I have tons of new ideas and content coming to the blog. There will be lots of style content but also some other stuff. I have a few Five on Friday’s planned (a little bit of a different layout than in the past), some Wedding Wednesday posts, a California travel diary and of course some gift guides as we head into the Holiday’s.
Suffering from burn out in this industry can be scary. Especially if you are still so small and trying your best to grow. I can’t tell you how many times over the last 3 weeks I thought “Just post something!! You are losing followers, potential collabs and so much more!!” However sometimes a break is what you need and it can lead to even better things. 😊

I hope this post gave you a little insight into why I haven’t been posting. I also hope it will help you make the decision to take a break from something if that’s what your body is telling you.

P.S. I was totally going to use different photos but these popped up when I opened my photo app and I just couldn't help myself!  How cute (and little) was Ramsey when he was like 3 months old??

Big News

Happy Friday lovelies!
Today is the day I can finally share my big news that I have been hinting at over the last few months!
For starters yesterday was my last day at my job! Ekkk!
I have so many mixed emotions about this. I truly loved my job, the people I worked with and what I did. I enjoyed going to work every morning, seeing all my friends and what I did on a day to day basis. Plus it was my first big girl job, which brings on a whole set of emotions on its own.
So if I loved my job and the people I worked with why would I leave you ask?
Here’s the exciting part…I’m moving back to Jacksonville.

I grew up there and always thought I would probably end up going back just not this soon.
I left 4 years ago to go to college, ended up interning in NYC and finally landed in Tampa. I can tell you it was a huge decision to leave and that has been in the works over the last 5-6 months. As sad as I am to leave my job and my life in Tampa I’m excited for this next chapter. I will be closer to my family, surrounded by all my close friends and I will finally get to see J every. Single. Day!!!!! (At least when he isn’t traveling.)
Most of my stuff is already there so as you are reading this I am probably packing up the last little bit of my apartment and making my final drive from Tampa to Jacksonville. (Not the real final drive as I will obviously be back to visit but you know what I mean.)
I’m so excited, scared, happy, nervous, anxious, and every other emotion you can imagine. Basically I’ve been a big hot mess the last 2 weeks. Crying one minute, freaking out with excitement the next and finally having a panic attack about where I’m going to live and what I’m going to do. (It didn’t help that J has been in Mexico the last week and a half)
Overall this will be a great new chapter in this exciting adventure called LIFE!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Let me know what you think of my news J
