Wedding Wednesday: Bridal Shower

Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I haven't done one of these in so long. It can be hard to share things leading up to the big day because I don't want to give too much away. Today however, I'm so excited to share my bridal shower with y'all! (I'll also be sharing my bachelorette and another shower in the upcoming weeks on the blog.)

Let me start by saying this day and party could not have been more perfect! Two of my Kelly's ( I have 3 bridesmaids named Kelly) offered to throw this for me at one of their parents house. My friend asked me for the guest list and everything else was a complete surprise.
From the moment the invitation arrived I knew it was going to be an amazing day. I mean it was pink and gold and said "Brunch & Bubbly". Could it be anymore me?
Upon arriving I was greeted by a donut wall & champagne bar!! ( If you're new here those are 2 of my absolute favorite things!!)
There was also the most amazing breakfast spread on the bar for everyone to feast on. It included mini chicken and waffles, multiple quiches, fruit, yogurt bar, bagels, cake pops and more.
I also need to take a minute to talk about the decor. They went with a tropical theme which is partially the theme of our wedding, my bachelorette and really just the theme of my life. haha
The donut wall had huge palm and banana leafs adorning it with some bright pink florals and a balloon garland. All the tables had beautiful floral arrangements they made themselves.
There were also a few personal touches. The donut wall had our names & hashtag on it. One of my favorite things was a wall with photos of J and I from childhood to now hanging from a string of twinkle lights.  And of course, no party would be complete without initial balloons!

Overall it was an amazing day with friends and family. I truly felt so loved by each and every person there. If any of you are reading this I want you to know I truly appreciate you coming and celebrating with me. Kelly, Kelly, & Sandi if you're reading this I cannot thank you enough for hosting such a beautiful shower. A gal really could not have asked for a better more beautiful party! I love you all!

Sweater Weather?

While it may be October 1st Florida has definitely not gotten that memo.
While it may be 85+ degrees here I think (or at least hope) some of y'all are experiencing cooler temps. If you are one of the lucky people that are currently experiencing fall this outfit is for you!
You saw this cardigan last week in this post and I'm clearly in love with it. I basically took last weeks out and swapped the bodysuit for a cami, booties for OTK boots and added a hat! Can we take a minute to talk about this hat? I have been wanting a new one like this for a while, but can't justify all the super expensive but very pretty ones. I was in target a couple weeks ago and they had a pretty good selection. When I saw this one with the little fur poof on it I knew I had to get it. It's also just under $20 which is a total STEAL in my book!

Like I said above this is very similar to last week's outfit. I've been into showing y'all how to wear pieces multiple ways lately. Is this something y'all like? If so I would love to continue doing this. Let me know in the comments below or shoot me an email @ fashionablylateblonde@gmail.com.

Facial PT 2

Last Saturday I had my second facial and microdermabrasion. (After my first one Rayanna suggested that we do a series of 3 to get my skin in tip top shape.)
This facial could not have come at a more perfect time! I'll be the first to admit that I didn't take the best care of my skin in Miami. Between bad food & alcohol, sun (with sunscreen of course) and not washing my face/doing my skin care religiously my skin was a WRECK!!! On top of all that my monthly visitor came the Friday before my facial and that is never good for my skin. Needless to say I was very thankful for the timing.
Rayanna could tell that my skin was not in good shape. The biggest thing she mentioned was that it was extremely dry. (I normally drink a TON of water so when I skip it I feel like my body can tell and it takes a while to bounce back.)
We started with the skin analysis like last time and decided to do all the same things. The only difference was that Rayanna decided to go a bit harder on the microdermabrasion. It still didn't hurt, but after I could tell it really did a number on my skin. I mean that in the best way possible. I feel like right after my skin was a little flush and all my blemishes and imperfections were drawn out. However, over the next few days this went away and I feel like my blemishes healed a lot faster than normal and went away on their own.
Rayanna also added facial cupping at the end to help with lymphatic drainage. When she first told me she would be doing facial cupping I got a little scared my face would look like Michael Phelps back in the 2016 olympics. (This did not happen at all.) Instead it was very relaxing and felt like a light facial massage. I could also feel a bit of the drainage and could personally see a slight difference in puffiness.
Overall my second facial was even better than my first. I think this has to do with the fact that my skin was in complete disarray this time around. I can't wait to go back for my third session and see how much better my skin gets.
If you are a Jax local and in need of a facial I HIGHLY recommend going to see Rayanna at Beautifully Bare. You can also use code "KATIE10" for $10 off your service.
The only photo I got after my facial. This one would have been AMAZING for before and after photos, but we both forgot until it was too late. :(

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about facials at all. I will do my best to answer and if I can't, I'll reach out to Rayanna. She is so so knowledgable and passionate about skincare.

Happy Fall 2019

Happy fall lovelies!
Can you believe the first official day of fall was yesterday? I know I can’t. I really wish the weather here would get the memo on what season it is. I guess I can’t complain too much since we did have highs in the low 80’s and lows in the 70’s this past weekend.
Since it is officially fall, I thought I would share this sweater with y’all and how I’m styling it for this in-between period. I bought this sweater during the Nsale because I was immediately drawn to the colors. I just love how they all work together. Since it’s still very warm I paired this with a cute bodysuit, shorts & booties. I think this is how us Floridians have to style most of our sweaters for the next few months. This was one of those outfits I envisioned it my head and when I put it on it actually worked! Do y’all ever do that? You envision an outfit with stuff in your closet, but when you finally put it on, it’s not nearly as cute as you had envisioned? I feel like that happens to me more often than not. This time however it actually worked out.
Anyway, I’ve linked very similar options to this sweater since it’s sold one. One looks identical and is from Amazon. (Not sure the quality.)

How was your first day of fall? Did you eat all the pumpkin things and decorate for fall? My house has been decorated for a week now and I’ve been eating and drinking all the pumpkin things since September first. What can I say? I know what I like!

Biker Shorts

Happy Tuesday!
Things have been non-stop around here. My real job has been super busy and there has been so much wedding stuff going on. Last Saturday was my bridal shower (more to come on that soon) and on Thursday I leave for my bachelorette party!! I am so excited! Make sure you are following me on Instagram @thefashionablylateblonde to see day by day! I know it's going to be so much fun with all my best gal pals!
Now that I've told y'all what I've been up to let's talk about today's outfit.
I'm sure y'all have seen the biker short trend everywhere. I finally jumped on said trend at the beginning of summer and I love it. This is a piece that will keep your outfit pretty casual but can be styled multiple ways. I paired mine with a big oversize white shirt and some loafers. This is something I would wear for running errands on Saturday or to grab lunch with friends. I feel like you also see these styled extremely sporty with oversized sweatshirts & sneakers. You could also go the other direction and style it with a crisp button down and heels. They also look great with a blazer! Y'all know I love a versatile piece and these definitely foot the bill. It's all about mixing things up!

I hope everyone is having a great week! One more work day until I am officially on vacation and headed to my bachelorette party! I hope the rest of your week flies by and thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog! I really appreciate it more than you know.
