All Black

Blogging is about being creative for me.
I think it's honestly a way to be creative for most people that do it.
Sometimes I think we forget that though. It's so easy to get caught up in sharing the latest trend or what to wear for Spring weddings. And while that's great (and what makes people money) sometimes you just need to be creative.
A shoot or an outfit starts as an idea in your head and sometimes they don't turn out the way you envisioned at all.
However, on this particular day, all the stars aligned and I love how it turned out.
The outfit, location, sunlight, poses, all of it was just perfect!
Seeing these photos and how much I like them it reminds me that I need to do this more often.
This dress might not be commissionable and I'm pretty sure these boots are long gone, but these photos make me really happy for some reason. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
We should all think of fashion blogging this way more often. This is a way for you to take inspiration from something and put your own spin on it. Which is kinda what's it's really about anyway.

Another Day, Another Shacket

Remember when I said I was done with shackets? Yea, me neither!
I really was done buying them for this season until I saw this one on Anna Page. (You should deff give her a follow. I love her style and her NYC apartment is GORGEOUS!)
Since it was so different from any of the other ones I have I easily justified adding it to my closet.
This color can easily transition into Spring and it's such a good weight as temps start to warm up a bit.
I also like that it's longer because it would look so cute over dresses.
There's really a ton of ways you can style it. I really like how it looks paired with the all black outfit I opted for here.
Since we are transitioning to Spring it would look great with an all white look too.
I actually shot this look over the weekend when it was like 75 degrees which was just a little too warm for this outfit.
Today however was cold (and rainy) and it looks like cooler weather is going to stick around for a while. I'm honestly not mad if it means I get to wear my new shacket!

Puffer Vest

The holidays are over, but I hope y'all are still wanting to see cold weather outfits. I've got a lot of them to share in hopes that we still have a decent amount of cold weather ahead of us. Sorry to anyone up North reading this or anyone that's immediately ready for Spring on January 1. I HATE being hot and definitely live in the wrong state for that. I welcome the cold/cooler weather for as long as possible.
I love this puffer vest that I got a few months ago. I originally bought it for more casual/athleaisure looks. However, today's outfit inspo comes from my girl Paige Desorbo. (Any summer house fans out there?)
She wore something similar a while back and I loved how it looked.
Y'all know I love a good all black outfit and this is no exception. This is the perfect cool girl look for a Sunday brunch or even Friday night drinks!

Would y'all want to see this styled how I originally planned? You know I love a good versatile piece.
Let me know below and I'm sure we can make that happen!
I hope everyone has a great Friday and an even better weekend. This week hasn't been the best start to 2021! I'm not giving up on the year just yet. Here's to hoping that things get better!

Mexico Maxi Dress

Maxis are a necessity for summer, and/or any tropical vacation. This one is definitely perfect for both. I first spotted it last year and just kept forgetting to order it. However, when I started shopping for Mexico this year, it was the first thing I picked up. It’s extremely lightweight and airy which are perfect for those days it’s so hot, and you don’t want anything touching your body. It also has pockets, which is really a reason to buy anything. Haha
I would say it’s definitely more of a cover-up, but you could get away with wearing it somewhere casual as a dress.
I would also suggest sizing WAYYY down. I’m normally a small/medium and I got the Extra-small. The small fit however, I didn’t want it to be super low cut, so I can wear it as an actual dress to brunch or something. It does have adjustable straps, which helps, but I personally don’t like when the slider sits on top or past my shoulders in the front. What can I say I’m weird about things like that?

What are everyone’s plans for the weekend? I’m so excited because my best friend is flying in this afternoon and we are going on a little road trip tomorrow. Follow me on instagram to find out where.
