Gift Guide for the Hostess

 I know we aren't going to as many parties and get togethers in 2020. However, if you do have 1 or 2 one your agenda this month I've got ya covered with some gifts that aren't a bottle of wine. 

Candle

This is always a good option. I would say a holiday scent is a nice touch.

I like that this one is personalized. You could get a set of 2 or 4.

Cook Book

I feel like I could always use a new cook book. There are so many good ones out there.

There's so many options here. You could get cute ones or personalized ones or even Christmas ones.

Kitchen Mitt & Towel Set

I personally can always use more of these. I love the Kate Spade ones. 

Mixing Bowl Set

This would be so cute for a cookie exchange or cookie baking party. They also have these mitt & cookie cutter sets.

Candle Set

Everyone needs one of these. The wick trimmer is a total game changer. 

Cheese Board

Who doesn't love a good charcuterie spread? The more boards you have, the better in my opinion. 

Coffee Table Book

I love a good coffee table book. This one looks super cute. Tailor the book to whatever the person likes.

Cute plant or succulent. The one pictured is the Grump Tree from Trader Joe's. If you can find one it would be the cutest gift. J surprised me with one and I LOVE it!!! 

Leather Joggers Holiday Edition

 I have been loving all the leather pieces this year. Honestly, that's really no different than any other year, but I feel like there have been so many more options this year. 

When I first saw these leather joggers I know I just had to have them. The price tag on them is even better! 

If you have been on the fence about getting a pair I highly recommend pulling the trigger. There are a million different ways to style them! 

Today I chose to go the holiday route. I got this top right before our trip to the mountains and never wore it. I was trying to think of a more laid back/casual Christmas outfit and here's what I came up with. This is the ideal outfit for 2020 because it's not over the top, but still has a fun holiday feel. I paired it with one of my favorite red lipsticks and a pearl hair clip. I think that's what really brings it all together.

I would also recommend pair the joggers with pointy toe pumps.You could do black to keep the all black look or go with nude to elongate your leg. I don't really have any that I love right now so I just opted for my chunky heel sandals. They do the job for now.

Christmas Dress

Happy Friday!

I am so happy the week is almost over. I still have to work tomorrow but it’s my last Saturday of the year, so that’s something to celebrate.

Wednesday I showed you what to wear to a tacky sweater party and today I’m talking about what to wear to something a little more sophisticated.

 When I first saw this dress, I was immediately drawn to the color and thought Christmas Party!!

The ruffle detail makes it classy and is completely on trend. I also like the drop waist, which is unusual because that style typically doesn’t flatter my body. I think the material and double layer is what makes it work.

The best part about this dress is there is a million ways to style it. I kept it simple since it’s been hot and paired it with nude cutout booties, gold jewels, and a gold clutch. However, it would also look cute with black tights and black heels or OTK boots. The possibilities are endless with this perfect holiday dress.
