Winter Dresses

Today I'm sharing something that might not pertain to everyone.

I know we are still living in a very different world than this time last year. However, I do feel like some people are starting to venture out more and more. I've seen a decent amount of people asking for dresses to wear to winter weddings and other events. To be honest, I've had a somewhat hard time finding dressier pieces lately myself. I thought I would make things easier for you (if that's something you're shopping for) by rounding up some options below.

Again, I know this post won't be for everyone, but if there is someone out there looking for this I want to be a good resource. Heck maybe you just want to dress up for a fun date night in!

We went to a smaller wedding at the end of October and like I said above, I actually had a really hard time finding a dress for it. Everything was either sold out or on back order. I ended up getting the lace one pictured below and love it. If you have a wedding, holiday party, or just want to dress up and dance in your living room I've got ya covered. And if you're not currently shopping for anything other than loungewear I totally get that too!

Vici Picks

So y'all have probably heard of Vici before.

Par for the Course (pt 2)

Tuesday I shared a great romper and short outfit for TPC; today I’m sharing what I think is everyone’s go to… dresses. I have two great options to share with you today that are also from Fig & Willow. They are both very different, but I think they are both perfect for a day at TPC.

Let’s kick things off with this stripe option. This one is a little preppy, but really lends itself to a day on the course. I love how easy and effortless it is, and how it instantly makes you look put together. The easy shape of the dress is great; however, if you’ve followed me for a while you know the stripes are what really drew me in. I’m typically a more vertical stripe kind of gal, but this dress caught my eye and just had TPC written all over it. If I wasn’t already sold on the colors, stripes & silhouette it also has POCKETS!! Anything with pockets is an automatic purchase in my book. This is just the ultimate outfit for Friday, Saturday or Sunday at TPC.

This next dress is a little more casual and extremely effortless. If I had to describe my everyday style I would say casual but put together. As soon as I put this dress on I knew it was so ME. This is a great option for The Players because you don’t have to worry about wind, as it’ a bit longer, however, you don’t have to worry about tripping or holding up a maxi length dress either. (#ShortGirlProblems) It will also allow you to sit without giving anyone a show. The best part is that it’s really lightweight which is great since it should be pretty warm out there this weekend. For all these reasons this is exactly what you will find me wearing at the tournament tomorrow.

Both of these will look great with flats, simple jewels and sunnies. I would also recommend a hat. (Great for keeping the sun off your face, which is always important.) I usually go with a baseball hat since floppy hats can be a challenge to keep on. However, if you can keep a bigger hat on I say you should rock it girlfriend!

Work Wear

Guys! The day has finally come! As you are reading this I am probably on my flight to MEXICO!!! We booked our flights back in July of 2017, and there were times I never thought this day would come. Enough about my vacation let’s talk about this dress.

I struggle to find dresses I can wear to work. That may sound weird but my work is EXTREMELY casual. I’m talking yoga pants and a t-shirt casual. That’s not exactly my style (at least for work), but I also can’t dress the way I used to when I worked in Tampa. (If I wore half the stuff I wore there people would legit think I was going to a gala or something! Hah)

I do like to dress up a bit for work however, not over the top, since that’s not my office vibe. When I saw this dress I knew it would be perfect for the office with booties. It makes me feel put together but, not too over the top where people would look at me weird. The ruching & knot on the side make it very flattering. I also love the length, which is weird because normally this length does not work on me. (I’m 5’4 for reference.) The best part about this dress is the fact that it’s on sale for under $40. Even better than that…it’s currently an additional 40% off through Saturday. I would highly recommend grabbing this dress whether your office dress code is casual or dressy. You really can make it work for either.
