Red Hot

Today I have my last outfit from Mexico.

This might be one of my favorite outfits from the trip. When I first saw this top I thought, “this color would be PERFECT for Mexico.” (I never really wear red although a lot of people tell me I should.) I then noticed it in black and white, and I debated one of those over the red. I finally told myself I had enough black and white, and that this red color was a must for Mexico. I am so glad I talked myself out of a neutral. I love how it pops with my white shorts and makes me look really tan. I also picked up these fun earrings specifically for this top. I know I will be wearing them a lot this summer as a nice pop of color on so many outfits.

Easter Eyelet

Happy Tuesday friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I went non-stop from the time my best friend arrived until he left. We had a great time in Charleston and got to see a lot of things in the short time we were there.

I also got to shoot this amazing white jumpsuit on Rainbow Row and I think it might be one of my favorite shoots to date.

I picked up this gorgeous white jumpsuit from Ashley Gryre (a local boutique) about a week ago. I saw it and just had to try it on. I was a little nervous as this boutique can be pricey, but this jumpsuit was a total steal. I love white and eyelet in the spring/summer, and the style of this jumpsuit is AMAZING! It’s supposed to be a little cropped (short girl problems), but I didn’t mind where it hit on me.

I want to wear it everyday; but that would be a little extreme. I will however be wearing it this Sunday for Easter.

Mexico Maxi Dress

Maxis are a necessity for summer, and/or any tropical vacation. This one is definitely perfect for both. I first spotted it last year and just kept forgetting to order it. However, when I started shopping for Mexico this year, it was the first thing I picked up. It’s extremely lightweight and airy which are perfect for those days it’s so hot, and you don’t want anything touching your body. It also has pockets, which is really a reason to buy anything. Haha

I would say it’s definitely more of a cover-up, but you could get away with wearing it somewhere casual as a dress.

I would also suggest sizing WAYYY down. I’m normally a small/medium and I got the Extra-small. The small fit however, I didn’t want it to be super low cut, so I can wear it as an actual dress to brunch or something. It does have adjustable straps, which helps, but I personally don’t like when the slider sits on top or past my shoulders in the front. What can I say I’m weird about things like that?

Spring Stripes

Y’all, I’m finally getting around to posting some photos from my trip to Mexico. I wanted to start with this blue & white stripe top from Nordstrom, because I noticed stock was getting low.

If you’ve followed me for a while you know how much I love blue and white stripes, especially in spring/summer. I was browsing Nordstrom before my trip, and this guy immediately caught my eye. I love the silhouette of the shirt almost as much as the colors. It’s also under $40, which is a total steal in my book. It’s such an easy throw on and go to piece; which are essential to summer wardrobes. I feel like there’s always last minute brunch invites, and vacations that you need pieces like this for, so that you don’t have to put much thought into. I will be pairing it with white jeans and shorts all summer long.
