Leather Vest

 I love a good vest.

Maybe more than I love a jacket. 

OK, that might be a stretch, but I do love a good vest. 

And this one is so so good! 

I actually saw this leather one last year and never pulled the trigger. 

When I saw it again this year I really wanted it, but still thought it was a little expensive. 

It finally went on sale after Christmas and I decided to pull the trigger. 

Now that I own it I wish I had bought it sooner. I think I have worn it at least 5 times since I got it in the mail.

I feel like the oversize quilted vest are very trendy right now. 

This one is definitely oversized without being too big. I also like that it's a little longer, but not too long for Florida. (I love the ones that go to like your knee, but that might be a bit much for Florida.)

I also love that it's leather. 

I've been reaching for it when I just have one leggings and a sweatshirt, (which is pretty much all I wear right now) but I think it would look great with black skinny jeans, a sweat and heels too.

My exact vest is almost sold out, but I linked some similar options and some other great outerwear since they are on sale. 

I think I definitely want this version in cream.

Dad Jeans

 As much as I like my skinny jeans, I love that other styles of denim are making a comeback.

I'm definitely loving all the 90's styles.

When I saw these, I had to add them to my cart immediately. 

I love the cut of the leg and that the button part has the slight cross-over. (I think that is so flattering and slimming.)

I also really love this bodysuit. Bodysuits are great for giving you a tucked in look with clean lines. The cutout is subtle, but gives it a little something extra. This one is no longer online, but it comes in a long sleeve version that is great now that it's getting colder. (I honestly shot this look probably 2 months ago.) 

This whole outfit reminds me of something my late elementary/early middle school self would have worn to the skating rink with all my friends on a Friday night. Obviously a little updated and appropriate for my age now.

I'm actually really sad because I only got to wear these jeans a few times before they got too tight with my little bump. 

Hopefully they will still be in style next Fall and I can promise you will catch me in them non stop.

While Black Friday is still over a week away there is no shortage on sales right now. 

I noticed Abercrombie was having a MASSIVE sale yesterday when I was browsing. I don't know what their official Black Friday sale will be but this one is pretty dang good. I would go ahead and grab some things while they are up to 40% off! I've rounded up some of my favorites below.

Thanksgiving Outfit Inspo

 Can y'all believe it's already November? October seriously flew by.

With it being November 3rd I'm sure Thanksgiving is on a lot of people's mind. I'm sure things might look a little different as far as gatherings go this year, but hopefully you'll be seeing at least some family and or friends on that day. 

With that being said I wanted to start giving y'all some Turkey Day outfit inspo.

I bought this bodysuit a couple months ago with the thought that it would be perfect for Fall. I love burnt orange for this time of year. And I love a bodysuit even more. I feel like this outfit is perfect for a casual Thanksgiving get together. (Maybe loose the hat for dinner.)

These boots are one of my favorites from 2 years ago. If you wanted to be a little more casual/comfortable you could also pair it with some booties. I would probably go with my taupe suede ones.

I'm not 100% sure yet what our Thanksgiving plans are. Whatever we end up doing this outfit is definitely a strong contender. Check back on Thursday for another Turkey Day outfit option. It will be another casual outfit. I don't currently have any dressy options planned, but let me know if that is something y'all would like to see and we can make it happen.

Denim

 If you have followed me for a while then you know I’m V picky about my denim! I used to DREAD shopping for new jeans. I have definitely gotten much better in the last few years because I wear them so much more. I recently found a new favorite brand... Abercrombie & Fitch.

I know they have made a pretty big comeback in the last few years, but up until a month or 2 ago I had not shopped there since I was a senior in high school.

I actually decided to try their denim shorts first. (If you think I hate shopping for jeans I REALLY hate shopping for denim shorts.) I had been contemplating pulling the trigger on a pair of Agolde shorts, but decided to try a few other brands before dropping that kind of cash.

I bought a pair of their curve love denim mom shorts and fell in love! After ordering a second pair I decided to try their jeans when they did a big denim sale. I went with the mom jean because I always have a really hard time with that style. It took me two tries because I didn't do curve love, but once I found my size I was obsessed. There are so many great things about their jeans. 

The first thing is their Curve Love line. If you are unfamiliar this line gives you 2 extra inches in the hip area. This helps to prevent a gap. The problem with high waisted jeans is accommodating your hips and sometimes you have to size up creating the gap. Enter Curve Love. This prevents that because you can order your normal size and still have extra room in the hip area. This is seriously a game changer. The next jeans I order will definitely be in the Curve Love line.

The second great thing about their denim is the variety. They have so many different styles and washes. There's literally something for everyone. 

I also love that there are no labels or stitching on the booty. It's weird but I prefer when you can't tell what brand of denim I'm wearing. (Unless it's Levi's because they are a classic.) 

If you haven't tried Abercrombie jeans in a while (or ever) I highly suggest you check them out the next time you're in the market for new denim.
