Dad Jeans

 As much as I like my skinny jeans, I love that other styles of denim are making a comeback.

I'm definitely loving all the 90's styles.

When I saw these, I had to add them to my cart immediately. 

I love the cut of the leg and that the button part has the slight cross-over. (I think that is so flattering and slimming.)

I also really love this bodysuit. Bodysuits are great for giving you a tucked in look with clean lines. The cutout is subtle, but gives it a little something extra. This one is no longer online, but it comes in a long sleeve version that is great now that it's getting colder. (I honestly shot this look probably 2 months ago.) 

This whole outfit reminds me of something my late elementary/early middle school self would have worn to the skating rink with all my friends on a Friday night. Obviously a little updated and appropriate for my age now.

I'm actually really sad because I only got to wear these jeans a few times before they got too tight with my little bump. 

Hopefully they will still be in style next Fall and I can promise you will catch me in them non stop.

Shoulder Pads

 Shoulder pads are BACK!!

But not in the way they were back in the 80's.

I started seeing this trend pop up around the end of last Summer and it is definitely here again this Spring. 

I love the look in a shirt/bodysuit like this one. It adds a fun/edgy element to an otherwise basic t-shirt.

I also recently saw it on a sweatshirt and LOVED the way it looked. 

Normally I think of olive as more of a Fall color, but I wanted to figure out a way to transition this to Spring. I think pairing it with white denim and a tan hat and heels did just the trick. 

This trend will definitely be sticking around so I linked my bodysuit and a couple other options I love.

What do you think about the shoulder pad trend? I have definitely hear mixed reviews. I definitely am here for it and hope it sticks around a for a bit.

Thanksgiving Outfit Inspo

 Can y'all believe it's already November? October seriously flew by.

With it being November 3rd I'm sure Thanksgiving is on a lot of people's mind. I'm sure things might look a little different as far as gatherings go this year, but hopefully you'll be seeing at least some family and or friends on that day. 

With that being said I wanted to start giving y'all some Turkey Day outfit inspo.

I bought this bodysuit a couple months ago with the thought that it would be perfect for Fall. I love burnt orange for this time of year. And I love a bodysuit even more. I feel like this outfit is perfect for a casual Thanksgiving get together. (Maybe loose the hat for dinner.)

These boots are one of my favorites from 2 years ago. If you wanted to be a little more casual/comfortable you could also pair it with some booties. I would probably go with my taupe suede ones.

I'm not 100% sure yet what our Thanksgiving plans are. Whatever we end up doing this outfit is definitely a strong contender. Check back on Thursday for another Turkey Day outfit option. Summer Bodysuit

Hey friends! 

I'm so excited to share an outfit post with y'all today! It's been too long. 

My love for bodysuits strikes again.

I used to love them back in college and then somehow got away from them. 

Last summer I bought so many and just haven't stopped.

I was with my friend at market when she bought this for her boutique and knew it needed a home in my closet.

I love everything about it. The color is so pretty. It's kind of a charcoal which can be a nice alternative from my favorite color (black) in the summer. It's also ribbed!! I've really found myself drawn to ribbed pieces the last few months when normally I would shy away from them. I also love the dainty double straps. (They're adjustable which is also a plus!) 

I did more of a date night look here with high-waisted denim and heels. You could also pair it with cutoff shorts and flats for a more casual day look! This is definitely a must have piece for your summer wardrobe!

Seeing Stars

Hey friends!

Hows week 2 of quarantine going for everyone? 

We are doing ok here. Definitely getting a little stir crazy, but still managing. 

I am totally obsessed with today's outfit. I can't wait to wear this out and about after things get back to normal. (I actually shot this right before things got REAL bad.)

Let me start with this jacket. I have been wearing it non-stop since I got it in January.

It's great to throw on with jeans, a dress, skirts, really anything. It's super lightweight which is perfect for this time of year. 

I kept things super casual with denim shorts and this bodysuit I got last summer. It's one of my favorites and still in stock. If you want to keep things casual you can pair it with jeans. If you want to dress it up, it looks great with skirts or dress pants. That's one of the best things about bodysuits... they are so easy to style. One thing to note: This bodysuit is a bit on the revealing side so just keep that in mind.
