Quarter Zip Sweater

 WOW!
It's been a while.
Between Elle starting daycare, me going back to work, a bit of a sleep regression and so much more I have just been so busy.
I've had a million content ideas and just no time to get them done.
This past weekend I told myself I would really start trying to be better about getting blog posts, reels, etc. done.
Let's talk about today's outfit.
I bought this sweater at the end of last year and never really got the chance to wear it. Since it's a sweater I originally bought it to wear with jeans. However, I saw someone style a similar piece with bike shorts the other day and thought it was so cute I needed to recreate it!
I feel like it makes you look somewhat put together, but is still super comfy and easy to throw on.
Easy, comfy and put together is exactly what I look for these days when planning outfits so expect to see this on repeat over the next couple months.
I've also been obsessed with wearing my hair in these clips lately. I feel like I'm always holding Elle and she is grabbing EVERYTHING, so this keeps my hair out of my face and out of her hands!

Falling for Midi Skirts

WOW!
It's been a minute since I wrote an outfit blog post.
Things have been so crazy lately. I have a million ideas for the blog and ZERO time to execute I feel like.
Anyway, today I am very excited to share this outfit with you. It's something I will be wearing on repeat the next few months.
It would also make a great Thanksgiving outfit which is why I forced myself to sit down and write this post.
Let's get into it shall we?
Every Fall I rediscover my love of midi skirts.
Not to say I don't wear them in the Spring or Summer, but there's something about Fall that makes me gravitate towards them more.
I saw this one probably 2 months ago when I was browsing online and immediately added it to my cart.
I loved the pleats and the color was so pretty. It was also very different from anything I had in my closet.
I had envisioned pairing it with a sweater to keep it kind of dressy, but when I got this sweatshirt in the mail I knew it would be perfect with this skirt.
I like the casual meets dressy look because you can be comfy while still looking put together.
This is also why it would make an amazing Thanksgiving outfit.
The skirt will make you look put together, but you can still be super cozy in a sweatshirt. It's also an elastic waist skirt which is always ideal for Thanksgiving.

Shop Small Transitional Outfit

It's definitely still a million degrees, but I think a lot of people have Fall on their mind.
That means it's time to start shopping for Fall outfits.
Today I'm sharing a great outfit that you can wear now and later.
The best part is the entire thing (except my shoes and sunnies) are from small businesses.
So I gotta start by telling you that I love each of these pieces on their own. Put them all together and I am even more obsessed. I seriously would wear this outfit every day if that was acceptable.
My jacket and bike shorts are from one of my favorite boutiques. I love that the jacket is cropped and the star detail if to die for.
Let's talk about the shorts for a second as well.
The photos don't do them justice, but they are a faux leather. They honestly look just like the Spanx leather leggings everyone loves. Living in FL you bet I will get my use out of these.
And now a moment for my t-shirt. How freaking cute is it?!
The sweetest gal on Instagram reached out and sent me a couple of her tees and sweatshirts and I'm absolutely obsessed.
The shirt itself is so freaking soft, which is always a win. I did size up to a large so that I could tie it like I did in the photos. I easily could have taken my normal medium though.
Definitely check her out. She is always added new graphics and recently added hats.
I of course pulled my entire look together with my favorite white Nikes.

Rust Flutter Top

I know it's 1 million degrees right now, but its August 3rd which means Fall is right around the corner. (And hopefully some Fall temps as well.)
Today I've got a great transitional outfit for ya no matter where you live.
I was shopping with my mom a few weeks ago when I first saw this shirt. I thought the color was so pretty and PERFECT for Fall.
I just love the little flutter detail on the sleeves. (Very on trend right now.)
I decided to get it because I thought it would be a really great transitional piece.
I paired it with jeans and my new favorite booties here for a more warm weather friendly option.
When it gets a little chillier you can easily layer a suede jacket and even OTK boots.
Let's take a minute to talk about these booties
They are part of the Nsale and I HIGHLY suggest you snag them.
I was immediately in love with them when I saw them online. I easily justified them because they are under $100 and I don't have any other boots this color.
(I also instantly styled them 100 different ways in my head, which is always a sign to pull the trigger on something in my book.)

Top:Old Navy | Denim:Abercrombie | Boots: Marc Fisher | Purse: Tory Burch | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Earrings: Amazon | Necklace: Amazon | Lips: Bobbi Brown Nsale set Sold Out (separately lipstick in Sazan Nude & lip gloss in Free Spirit

Are you ready for Fall or still in Summer mode? I am easily ready for Fall, but I have 2 trips coming up that I need Summer weather and clothes for. After I get home from those I will be in full on Fall mode though.

Free People Knits

This outfit is definitely my new favorite. I also love how it came together so last minute. I was heading out to shoot and wanted to make sure I had 3 outfits. I tried something else on and it didn't work out the way it did in my head. Then I had this idea and it worked out PERFECTLY!
This is the famous Free People sweater and I was so happy I snagged it during the Nsale. (Actually my friend Catherine snagged it. When she tried it on she didn't like it so she sold it to me. Thanks Cat!)
I think it is definitely worth the hype. It's super soft, cozy and extremely warm. (It was also close to 90 the day we shot this.)
My skit is another Free People find that y'all have seen more than a few times. (Last seen here)
I honestly never thought about pairing the two together when I purchased them, but here we are. My love for neutrals and a good monochromatic look lead us here. I love how the two are similar colors but not exactly the same. I also love that they are both a knit. That was the thing that I was most worried about when I thought of pairing the two together. However this was one of those times where I pictured an outfit in my head and it worked out perfectly.
The sweater comes in a few other color options and the skirt comes in about 15 color options. In case tan/beige isn't your thing.

Sweater: Free People | Skirt: Free People | Hat: Pink Lily | Booties: Old (similar here & here) | Necklace: Amazon | Earrings: Amazon | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lipstick: Buxom Full Force Plumping Lipstick in Influencer

I'd like to also point out that this would be a great Thanksgiving outfit. It might seem a little crazy to be saying that, but Halloween is Saturday and Thanksgiving will be here before we know it.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a Happy Halloween.
