Shackets Continued

 If you followed me last Fall/Winter, you're probably aware that I love shackets.

You'll be glad to know that my love is still going strong this year since they are still a pretty big trend. 

I saw this particular one when I was browsing for Fall clothes a few months ago. I loved the length and the fact that it was a little oversized. It seemed like a great option for Florida winter. Once I got it in the mail I quickly realized why I loved it so much... I own pretty much the exact same shacket in a textured beige version from the same retailer. (#CreatureOfHabit over here.) 

Since it is so oversized I decided to keep things fitted on the bottom with some of my favorite faux leather leggings. If you like the look of Spanx, but not the price tag, then there are for you! They now come with an even more flattering waistband. (I'm honestly debating ordering a pair for next year when I don't have a bump.) 

Lastly I want to talk about this henley. It was one of the things at the top of my Nsale wishlist this year. I was so happy that I was able to snag it. I feel like it's really cute and can be dressed up a bit or worn with leggings and sneakers. I'm also loving it even more now that I'm pregnant. I'd actually like to find it in a couple other colors. I haven't had any luck though.

Falling for Midi Skirts

It's been a minute since I wrote an outfit blog post.

Things have been so crazy lately. I have a million ideas for the blog and ZERO time to execute I feel like.  

Anyway, today I am very excited to share this outfit with you. It's something I will be wearing on repeat the next few months. 

It would also make a great Thanksgiving outfit which is why I forced myself to sit down and write this post.

Let's get into it shall we?

Every Fall I rediscover my love of midi skirts.

Not to say I don't wear them in the Spring or Summer, but there's something about Fall that makes me gravitate towards them more. 

I saw this one probably 2 months ago when I was browsing online and immediately added it to my cart. 

I loved the pleats and the color was so pretty. It was also very different from anything I had in my closet.

I had envisioned pairing it with a sweater to keep it kind of dressy, but when I got this sweatshirt in the mail I knew it would be perfect with this skirt.

I like the casual meets dressy look because you can be comfy while still looking put together.

This is also why it would make an amazing Thanksgiving outfit. 

The skirt will make you look put together, but you can still be super cozy in a sweatshirt. It's also an elastic waist skirt which is always ideal for Thanksgiving.

Pumpkin Patch Outfits

 FINALLY! Getting a blog post up.

I originally wanted to get this up on October 1, but I guess 5 days late is better than never.

Since it's officially pumpkin season I thought I would round up some cute outfits you can wear to the pumpkin patch. Or apple picking. Or whatever Fall activities you might have planned.

I tried my best to do a mix of warm and cool climate options. 

Layering is always a great option to make a dress or romper more cold weather appropriate.

Rust Flutter Top

 I know it's 1 million degrees right now, but its August 3rd which means Fall is right around the corner. (And hopefully some Fall temps as well.)

Today I've got a great transitional outfit for ya no matter where you live.

I was shopping with my mom a few weeks ago when I first saw this shirt. I thought the color was so pretty and PERFECT for Fall.

I just love the little flutter detail on the sleeves. (Very on trend right now.)

I decided to get it because I thought it would be a really great transitional piece. 

I paired it with jeans and my new favorite booties here for a more warm weather friendly option.

When it gets a little chillier you can easily layer a suede jacket and even OTK boots.

Let's take a minute to talk about these booties. 

They are part of the Nsale and I HIGHLY suggest you snag them.

I was immediately in love with them when I saw them online. I easily justified them because they are under $100 and I don't have any other boots this color. 

(I also instantly styled them 100 different ways in my head, which is always a sign to pull the trigger on something in my book.)

Are you ready for Fall or still in Summer mode? I am easily ready for Fall, but I have 2 trips coming up that I need Summer weather and clothes for. After I get home from those I will be in full on Fall mode though.

Thanksgiving Outfit Inspo take 2

 I'm back with another Thanksgiving outfit idea for y'all.

This is another pretty casual look. We usually keep things pretty laid back for Thanksgiving so nothing too fancy.

(I promise to try and share a dressier option next week.)

I actually wore this outfit to brunch one day when we were in Asheville. I bought this top in the Summer with the intent to wear it in the fall. The colors just really scream Fall to me. I also love the tie neck detail. You can leave it open, tie it halfway like I did or tie it all the way into a bow if that's your thing. I paired it here with some of my favorite jeans and booties. Since it was a little on the warmer side in Asheville I went with booties, but I would also wear these knee high boots if it was colder.

Pumpkin Patch Round 2

 I promised y'all last week I would share another pumpkin patch look sometime this week. 

I wore this on Sunday when we went to our local pumpkin patch with Ramsey and I absolutely love this outfit.

I bought this shirt about a month ago because I decided I needed some new Halloween shirts. I have a couple shirts with lips on them and I thought the fangs were a fun twist. It was also super affordable.

I paired it here with my new favorite jeans and some sneakers. (I refuse to wear sandals to the pumpkin patch no matter how hot it is. You are asking for extremely dirty feet if you do.)

You might notice this outfit shoot was not actually done at the pumpkin patch. Fun little back story. Me, J and Ramsey go to the same pumpkin patch every year. (I think J and I have been going for 7+ years.) We got all ready on Sunday and drove to the church where it's at and there was NO pumpkins. Literally nothing was there. We both kind of looked at each other and were like "uhhhh OK?" 

Luckily J remembered there was one just across the intercostal so we headed there.

It was pretty crowded and honestly the selection wasn't that big. Not like it has been in years past. Add in Ramsey being a complete wild child and there was just no way to shoot there. I did manage to snap a couple pics with Ramsey that you can see below.
