Shacket Outfit 1000

I really can't stop with the shacket. They are so easy to style and I might own a few too many. (Like that's even possible.)

Anyway, today I am going to try to share my last shacket outfit... at least for a while.

Today I kept things super casual.

Now that we have been working from home for almost a year I am really embracing the casual style. I mostly wear joggers or leggings M-F. If I do go anywhere I usually feel dressed up in jeans. haha I don't know if I would say this look is "dressed up", but I would wear this for drinks or a fun Saturday brunch on a patio. Since it's been so cold here lately I am always grabbing a jacket and this one is so versatile.

I think that's why I love it so much. You can see this exact one styled here with a dress & here in a different color way styled in a very athleisure way.

I really hope this trend sticks around through Spring and next Fall/Winter!

Can y'all believe it's February? We made it through January which always feels like the longest month. I'm looking forward to this month. I'm hoping work will slow down a bit in the next week or two and then I have some fun things to look forward to in March & April.

Dressed up Shacket

Y'all already know about my love for the shacket.

I've got 2 more ways to style them for ya and then I promise to stop. Well maybe I don't promise to stop completely. I will try to share less outfits involving the shacket.

I've done the athleisure look and the jeans look so I thought I would pair it with a dress.

I kept things a little edgy with my new combat boots. I feel like this style/plaid really lends itself to that.

I love that if you get warm you can just tie it around your waist and it still looks great. I would honestly just wear it that way from the start. It cinches your waist and really just adds to the outfit.

Fun Fact: I wore this dress on our mini moon in Paris last year and then again this year on our anniversary trip. It's such a good piece.

Shacket

Remember a few weeks ago when I shared this dress with the puff sleeves? And I said puff sleeves are my favorite trend? Well I think I've found a new favorite... or at least a tie. May I introduce you to the shacket.

I'm sure you have been seeing these ALL over Instagram and blogs lately. If you are wondering what exactly it is let me explain. It's basically a heavyweight button up shirt or flannel. Almost the weight of a jacket. Basically a cross between a shirt and a jacket.... shacket.

I went a little crazy and bought a couple before we went to NC and I do not regret it one bit. I wore this outfit on our first day hiking and it was perfect. It was a little cool in the shade and I was glad I had something long sleeve. When we got to the top of the mountain is was really warm so I was able to just tie it around my waist. (It was also a difficult hike and a bald so there was no shade. But that's a story for a different time. haha)

I highly recommend picking one or two of these up. They are especially great if you live in a warmer climate and don't reach for true jackets that often. I've linked the one I'm wearing and a few other options below.
