Pumpkin Patch Round 2

I promised y'all last week I would share another pumpkin patch look sometime this week.
I wore this on Sunday when we went to our local pumpkin patch with Ramsey and I absolutely love this outfit.
I bought this shirt about a month ago because I decided I needed some new Halloween shirts. I have a couple shirts with lips on them and I thought the fangs were a fun twist. It was also super affordable.
I paired it here with my new favorite jeans and some sneakers. (I refuse to wear sandals to the pumpkin patch no matter how hot it is. You are asking for extremely dirty feet if you do.)

Top: Target (also love this sweatshirt) | Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch | Shoes: Boutique (similar here & here) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lipstick: Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Love Liberty

You might notice this outfit shoot was not actually done at the pumpkin patch. Fun little back story. Me, J and Ramsey go to the same pumpkin patch every year. (I think J and I have been going for 7+ years.) We got all ready on Sunday and drove to the church where it's at and there was NO pumpkins. Literally nothing was there. We both kind of looked at each other and were like "uhhhh OK?"
Luckily J remembered there was one just across the intercostal so we headed there.
It was pretty crowded and honestly the selection wasn't that big. Not like it has been in years past. Add in Ramsey being a complete wild child and there was just no way to shoot there. I did manage to snap a couple pics with Ramsey that you can see below.

Have you been to the pumpkin patch this year? I love going to pick out pumpkins and get some cute family photos every year. Now we need to decide what to carve into a couple of our pumpkins...

Amazon Prime Day 2020

By now y'all definitely know it's Amazon Prime Day*.
I've rounded up some of my top picks below.
If I'm being honest I've never really gone crazy over Prime Day. This year though I have already snagged some great deals and will probably pull the trigger on a few more.
Make sure you keep checking Amazon because more deals will be released over the next 24 hours.
*(You do have to have an amazon prime account to get the discounted price.)
These would make a great Christmas gift. Might as well snag them while they are on sale.
I have a similar pair from a few years ago and love them. There is actually a TON of New Balance brand items on sale.
This thing gets so freaking loud. They had it on the boat we rented on my bachelorette. It is pricey but worth it if you'll use it a lot. We have the small version and love it!
We had a similar version of this to keep tabs on Ramsey when we were at work. However, J knocked it into his water bowl and it no longer works. We don't really have a need for it at the moment. but I figure might as well get it while it's on sale.
I put these in my coffee every morning. This is such a good deal!
Might get this for a wedding we have next week.
I might pull the trigger on this since we didn't get the one off our registry.
This would be great for skincare.
I've heard so many good things about this guy. I might have to try it out for myself at this price.
I'm thinking this would make trimming Ramsey way easier.
These are over $100 off!! I bought a pair for myself this morning. (J also recommends these. I just didn't want to spend that kind of money.)
I've been debating a Kindle for a while. I'm not sure I will love how small it is, but I can always return it.
I've been eyeing espresso makers a lot lately. We have one, but we are waiting to open it until we move into a new house. Now would be a good time to snag one if you're in the market.

There are my top picks. I didn't focus on fashion much because I felt like the better deals were in electronics & home stuff. Like I said above keep checking back because they add new sales like every hour!

Pumpkin Patch Round 1

 Happy Thursday!
This post is up early. I wanted y'all to be able to shop my look and get it in time for the weekend!
Let's jump right in shall we?
If you follow me on Instagram you know that this past weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. We decided to make the trek to Amazing Grace Farm which is about an hour away from our house. It was definitely worth it! The place was HUGE! It had a corn maze, farm animals, sunflower fields, and tons of games for kids to enjoy.
Living in Florida I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to wear a sweater and jeans to the pumpkin patch so I needed a different option. I've actually had this romper in my cart for a while and finally had the perfect place to wear it. Since the day started off a little on the cooler side I did pair it with my oversized denim jacket. And while I wanted to wear booties with it J talked me into sneakers. (I'm really glad he did too! We did a ton of walking and the corn maze would have been miserable in heeled booties.)
If you live in a warmer climate this is such a great outfit for Fall activities. Even if you live somewhere that actually has a Fall this could be a good option if you have a slight heat wave.
Did I mention this romper comes in 5 other colors including orange and wine which would also be PERFECT for this time of year.
I did size up to a large because I wanted extra length and room in the legs. I also like that the straps tie so it will definitely fit even if you do size up like I did.

Romper: Amazon | Jacket: Old (similar here, here, & here) | Shoes: Boutique find (almost identical here & here) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lipstick: Stila Stay All Day Shimmer Liquid Lipstick in Miele
When are you heading to the pumpkin patch? We will be going to the one by our house this weekend so we can take Ramsey and get some family photos. I have another fun outfit I'll share with y'all on Tuesday from that outing.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday and an even better weekend! Hopefully it will be filled with some type of Fall activity.

Sweater Weather... Well, kind of!

It’s officially sweater weather! Well, kind of.
For some places it’s definitely time to break out those sweaters and put away your summer clothes. For those of us that aren’t quite there yet it’s definitely coming soon!
I picked up this amazing chunky sweater last week from one of my local boutiques and thought I would share it and some other great options with y’all! (If you live somewhere hot I totally get not even being able to think about sweaters right now! I promise you though if you don’t get them now all the good ones will be sold out! I feel like things are selling out faster than ever because I can tell you from working in retail Covid has definitely affected supply chains.)
I kept things simple today with jeans and a cute pair of booties. I feel like the pattern of the sweater and color is what I really wanted to stand out. It's also super cozy and warm!

Sweater: Fig & Willow | Denim: Nordstrom old (similar here & here) | Booties: Steve Madden (similar here, here, & here) | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lips: NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée

See below for some other great picks!
Love this Free People sweater! It's currently in my cart!

This cardigan looks so cozy & soft! I also LOVE the color combo!

I love a good basic option. This one comes in a ton of color options.

The boxy fit of this one really speaks to me! haha. I like how they paired it with a skirt to balance it out.

I love the colors on this option.

That's all I've got for tonight. I will make a graphic and add more tomorrow. I have a serious migraine and it's a miracle I even got this post up!
Hope you all have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by! Happy sweater shopping!

Sale Alert: Nordstrom

Nordstrom is having a huge sale right now. There are so many good deals. There's even a ton of stuff from the Nsale that is now marked down even more!
I've rounded up a few pieces that I personally own or think would be a good buy. I tried to stick to fall/winter pieces since that's what I feel like most people are buying now.
I have the purple version from 2 year ago and love it! I think I might add the brown one to my closet. It's such a good color for fall.
I got these during the Nsale and I'm obsessed. They are actually on a deeper discount now than they were during the Nsale.
I had my eye on this during the Nsale and never pulled the trigger. I might have to buy it now. It's so cute for fall. (Note: It's actually pink and not beige.)
Another one from the Nsale. This is such a great bag that you will use nonstop. It also comes in cognac.
I love these! You will get so much wear out of them. They are under $25!!!
Another piece from the Nsale. I thought about buying it, but never did. It is such a great dress for Fall. You can pair it with booties or knee high boots.
I got these during the Nsale and let me tell you... they are even more beautiful in person. The color is what made me want them and it did not disappoint.
I have this cardigan from a few years ago. The quality is really good and the sale price is even better.
I really wanted these in tan and now they are sold out. This blush color  and white are still available though. The shoe itself is so pretty to me.
I have been loving plaid blazers this fall. I ended up getting one from H&M, but I think this is a great option too.
I have heard so many good things about this concealer. I currently use Shape Tape from Tarte, but I am trying this one next because I've heard it's better if you have dry under eyes.
This looks so freaking cozy and at under $100 you really can't bear it!
I think I am definitely buying these. The color is amazing and the croc detail is so on trend.

There are so many good deals right now. If you didn't shop during the Nsale now is definitely the time to do some shopping. There are so many good Fall/Winter pieces.

Fall Sneakers

 Shoes!
I am so excited about these shoes! I first saw them on one of the Target instagrams a couple weeks ago and immediately ordered them.
I have been on such a sneaker kick lately and these are the perfect addition for Fall. I typically lean towards white pairs so this is a fun addition to my collection. I love the print and the zipper details. (The inside one is functioning. It's how you get the shoes on and off. The outside one is non-functioning.) They are also a high top cut, which I don't really have.
I will literally be wearing them all season long.
I paired them here with a sweater and denim for a pretty basic Fall look. This sweater is also my new favorite. It comes in a ton of colors if camel isn't your thing. This would be a great outfit for the pumpkin patch. We are actually headed to one this weekend, but it will probably be a little too warm for this look. I am going to try and wear these shoes though.

Sweater: Target | Denim: Free People (currently on sale!!) | Shoes: Target | Sunnies: Quay Australia | Lipstick: Still Stay All Day Shimmer Liquid Lipstick in Miele

What are your favorite shoes? Are you more of a heels or sneaker gal? I'm definitely both depending on my mood!

Why You Shouldn't Put All Your Eggs In Instagrams Basket

3 weeks ago my Instagram was hacked.
I never lost full access, but I did loose certain capabilities.

STORY TIME:
It was a Sunday and we were driving home from our friends trip in NC. Naturally, I was scrolling Instagram and engaging with content. I quickly noticed every time I tried to like a photo I got an error that read "Try Again Later We restrict certain activity to protect our community. Tell us if you think we made a mistake." At first I just thought maybe Instagram was having a glitch. However, it kept happening. I closed the app and reopened... still happening. I updated the app... still happening. I logged out and logged back in... still happening. I finally decided to give it time and tried again later that night. When I was still getting that error I started googling. Everything I found said there were a few things that could be getting me this error. 1. I liked too many photos. I knew this  couldn't have been the case because I was barely on my phone that weekend. 2. I commented the same comment multiple times. Again I wasn't on my phone much and I wouldn't do that. 3. I followed and unfollowed too many accounts in a short time. I don't play the follow/unfollow game so I knew that wasn't it. 4. You have a 3rd party app that makes likes/comments/follows on your behalf. I believe in growing my Instagram following organically so I have never had one of those apps.
As I kept googling how to fix this people said just give it a few days/week for it to work itself out. I also noticed during this time there was a login near Nashville the day before. I have never been to Nashville in my entire life. (That's why I think I was hacked. And because I know I didn't do any of the above things.)
I decided to go to bed and vowed to try my hardest to stay off Instagram the next day. (Some of the things I found said you could get access back quicker if you stayed off the app and didn't like, comment or post anything.)
I'm not going to lie Monday was really hard staying off the app. Tuesday same thing. Wednesday I decided to see if I had my access back. I didn't. Mind you I could post, but I couldn't comment or like things and the Instagram algorithm does not like when you don't engage. By Friday I still didn't have access back and had tried reaching out to Instagram via the help section on the app to no avail.
Here's where things get really "bad" for me.
Friday I had a sponsored post that was due. I wasn't really freaking out because I could still post to my grid and stories. I shoot my content and post my grid photo only to realize that a caption is a comment and Instagram deleted it. I also couldn't tag my business partner or use the # I needed in stories. At this point I have a full on breakdown! This is now going to not only loose me money, but I have to reach out to the brand and potentially look really bad to them as well. After bawling/hyperventilating  for 30 minutes I try reaching out to the help email for Instagram/Facebook that everyone says no one will reply to. Shocking... I got an automated response telling me the email is no longer valid and to reach out in the help section of the app. (Been there done that.)
Not sure if that worked or enough time had passed, but 2 hours later I was able to post my branded content to my grid & my stories with all tags, captions, etc.

I'm sure you're wondering why I told you this extremely long story? Well, it's to tell you (and myself) that as a creator you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. At least not one you don't own.
What if I didn't get my access back? Sure, I could make a new Instagram, but growth can be really hard and slow. This is why as a blogger your blog should be your top priority.

Dana from It's Casual Blog talked about it in this post after Instagrams blackout last year. I remember thinking "WOW! She is so right"! I didn't really take action though.
I'm not going to lie, I don't always put my full focus on my blog. I can say after that scare I do plan to make my blog my NUMBER ONE! It's not going to happen over night, but I do have some thoughts on how I'm going to do this.

What if these apps just went away? What would you have left? This isn't just about Instagram. Tik Tok is another PRIME example with everything that's going on right now. What are these Tik Tok stars going to do when/if the app is truly banned in the US?
This is why you need something you "own" or at least a platform you can actually get help from if something happens.
I can't speak from all perspectives, but as a blogger this is why your number one priority should be your blog.

If you're a creator where do you put most of your focus? I would love to hear your feedback/opinions in the comments!
